Yeah! Bombadil is mentioned a LOT more than the Snow Troll! Where is the outrage from Snow Troll fans about his glaring absence from this line? Hmmmm??

Are we talking about the same Bombadil that LOTR's collectors voted a whooping 25% in favour of SS producing one......

You always have the GG bust to fall back on.

Leave that bust alone, i like it!! And it's the only Bombadil poly i'm likely to get unless he appears in The Hobbit or someone decides to do a statue line based on the book rather than the film, or combines the two like Weta did with those cards, which would be cool.......

I'm rambling now. I love Bombadil!

Ahem, anyway, back to Boromir.


WOO-HOO! He's finally sold out, which means - i can finally order one!!
Haha. To be honest part of me is saying i should concentrate on the new Weta environments and save up for The Hobbit statue line which i'm sure Sideshow or Weta will be doing. That same voice is telling me my LOTR collection has been long completed and i should be using the maquette line to 'plug the gaps', the trouble being Sideshow releasing great statue after great statue, so by having the Boromir ex on the waitlist i've got a semi-chance of getting it if i decide i want to without having to pay anything for pre-ordering. If that makes sense. But on the order page it said that cancellation fees still apply? But i'm guessing that just refers to whether the wait-list is converted to an order?

Anyhoo, i'd have to say that Legolas looks the best maquette so far, followed by Aragorn, Boromir, Arwen, Gimli and GTG.

No doubt on a combined list I'd have to put the Snow Troll at the top of the list....esp when considering the price, size, and awesomeness of the sculpt. As for Gimli, still a fantastic looking staue, but unfortunately someone has to finish last....and I just think he features the weakest of the likenesses to date, though I still consider the likeness to be very good and the overall statue, excellent.

Right if you start listing things something is going to be at the bottom. I just wouldn't put Gimli there as I think he's one of the strongest in every aspect especially so seeing it at Comic-Con.
