Cheaper on the Bay still, no? I guess if you have a decent sized gift card that could work. Honestly, I hate to keep beating the drum of doom about the PF line but the fact they couldn't sell 500 of these is sort of surprising.

The edition size is not 500, it's 500 domestic and it was soldout very quickly with ebay price going above $500. Then sideshow sneaked in another 500 or 1000 international edition (you can flip to the earlier pages to read about the drama around this), making it 1000 or 1500 total.
Also for such an intricate piece, i would be very afraid to buy off ebay. I had to go through a bad paint on first order, 2 replacement body, a return, then a second new order to finally get one with the perfect paint, with no bleeds out of his nose or around the face.
Considering it's going for around $270 on ebay, i would definitely pay the $300 shipped cost from sideshow for peace of mind.

I know, that's why I'm asking what happened to the original product page for the International Edition? I'm sure there was one at one point. But I may just be hallucinating.

so, to put it simply....the one SS trying to sell now is International Edition, right? since the only one difference between international and domestic is the base....and they labeling it as Exclusive Domestic version

It's still labelled as the International Edition, they're just selling it through the exclusive editions product page with a note in the description. I'm assuming it's probably easier to do it this way for ordering purposes and that's why they're not using the actual international edition product page. IIRC, all the international orders were done via email.
Two last week sold for 214 dollars. It might still be worth it to go the SS route if paint is an issue though. Figure 285 with a 25 dollar gift card and piece of mind +rewards points save you another 5% right? I really can't see how they top this piece in any format, hence the surprise it hasn't completely sold out.

It's crazy, this statue WAS an instant grail. The 500 ES was soldout quickly and the prices on ebay went above $500 in no time.
Then sideshow released a note saying there is this international edition with a few pieces left. We all were like wtf? okie a few pieces...it wasnt until people start receiving the international edition did we find out by "few pieces" sideshow sneaked in another 1000 unit production. Making the total ES 1500.
Price started to flatline on ebay to around retail $300, and a lot of people were very pissed off including myself, i still get angry just thinking about what sideshow did here.
Anyway will pickup another one off ebay if i can find a good price, missed both of those <$220 auctions
I have no doubt this will become a grail once soldout..unless they release another 1000 ES "north america" edition...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you get reward points on sale items or items you use a gift card or reward points on.
