it's not big, but damn it's tall, definitely the tallest collectible i ever own

question: how to make a spoiler?

yes you dont realize how tall this statue is due to the small looking gollum...until trying to put it in a curio. I had to drill extra holes for the glass shelf just to fit this lil guy... need ~25" to display this correctly.

Probably my favourite piece of the past year.

So good I was seriously considering buying a second, just to display both versions, and I never do things like that ordinarily.

Also displays equally well if you have a collection of LOTR pieces, or if this is the only LOTR piece you own.

More pieces to this sort of quality and design next year please Sideshow.

yes with those popular characters and well reviewed statues, if you dont like it you can always sell it for close to retail price. So there is little risk of making the purchase.

the less popular characters / action dios are more risky as those could potentially drop more than 50% on resale, so have to be more careful purchase.

Hmmm, this bodes poorly for the PF line in general I think. Combine that with the ROWS apparent delays and we may be in for a maquette-based 12-18 months.

That's why I sold off my PFs and caught up on the maquette line. I've got three so far, with the rest on preorder. Heck, the next two are shipping this month! Having given up on the PF line, I'm really enjoying the maquettes.
