I Will say one thing...
Going to see Resident Evil 1 at the movie theater is one of my best experiences in going to see a movie.
Everything from seeing the trailer to the hype to actually seeing the movie opening week, amazing. It just, it was so cool. definitely one of the most memorable experiences with a movie for me.

I specially love when they combine the footage of the concert with the zombies from the movie. Just so awesome.

Wow I remember getting the dvd and watching this music video. I loved this movie as a kid. It has all the elements of RE and it felt like it would of been in one of the games from back then. You could sense the danger and the main characters weren't immortal. The zombies weren't just canon fodder, they were eerie and tragic.
I say tragic because what happened to them in the hive was crazy,the dude with the black jacket and the red queen just killed them all and they were trapped down there.
Also the ending and the nod to nemesis at the end was so well done. The music and everything FELT like an old school RE game. It had action and matrix type scenes but it still kept that charm. To bad it all went to hell after two.
. Good first movie.

I must admit, I've found all of the RE movies up until this point to be fun filled popcorn fodder, especially the first two. That said I still won't give up hope for a truly faithful adaptation that really captures the feel of the games.
It's time for a reboot, Andersons had his fun.
