Bad news from Rainman... :(

gunman_c1851_04.png

The quantity of the clothing + HS set has been reduced to 20 due to a quality matter.
So only 10 set is available for outside Korea.
Don't forget we will begin accepting pre-orders after 1pm, Monday, May 25, no sooner.
You can check the central time (DST) on e-ureka shop.

Good luck!

Hi all,

Here is the bonus secret item for the limited full version.
It's for you who pre-ordered already...
Rainman will fill dollar bills up before shipping to you... :lol

Thanks,

Looks fantastic! Stuffed full of 1:6 money would be great. :lol

Hmmm, may I ask why?
What is the difference?

Hot Toys does not individually number their figures or market them as limited editions. But I'm not going to argue the point. As an artist and customizer myself, it's not something I would do. It's not about losing re-sale value for me, it's about a new improved version from the same person making the previous version redundant. Personally, I think the new Chaplin is much better. Why revisit the exact same look anyway if you don't think you can improve? If one must revisit the same character, I'd prefer and think it wiser to tackle a different costume or look than a rehash.

I think some people here are just discovering the difference between collecting figures and collecting artists.

Exactly. I think these are a bit of a different animal.

Also, Rainman's not offering an unpainted Clint head as he did with Van Cleef?

The fact that its available at all is good news as far as I'm concerned. :D

Can someone please impart their wisdom as to what time this is GMT?

Also, is it highly likely that Rainman will do a 'The Good' version of this gunman? Seeing as he did Lee Van Cleef and is now doing 'The Bad' version?

I'd be interested in this info too - I REALLY want this figure but I'll struggle to have the cash by the close off date for payment due to the large number of releases coming due at the moment.

this is a question that i had before. It seems that he is almost identical in all three movies. Are there some MAJOR differences in his outfit?

I don't know if he is even planning one, but wondered if he may do, what with the new 'The Bad' Van Cleef. Like an improved Blondie sculpt or something.

How does the ordering process work by the way please? Do you submit your order and then have secured one, with three days to pay? Or do you have to pay immediately to secure a clothing + HS set? Thank you.

If you visit the E-ureka store, you'll see that a clock running on central time (DST) has been added so anyone in the U.S. can figure out their own time for the sale. Click on "more details" for the head+clothing set.

You'll also note that in this set, the headsculpt is painted by Studio DF.

Thanks to Zuno and/or Rainman for the clock.

No. Shirt, vest, scarf, hat, poncho, jeans, boots are all exactly the same in all 3 films. GBU is actually a prequel to the other 2 as that's where he gets the outfit. Only the leather wrist guard is different and added in FFDM.

Van Cleef actually plays 2 different characters - Col Mortimer and Angel Eyes are NOT the same guy, just as Gian Maria Volontè plays 2 different characters in FFD & FFDM. Joe/Monco/Blondie is the same character in all 3 films.

I would hope if Rainman did decide to revisit the same character, a "good" version, he'd do the badass bounty hunter outfit Clint wears during the first half of the film. The hat, shirt, duster, boots and pants are all completely different. But 'the ugly', Tuco would be a better choice. I'd love to see what Rainman could do with his ragged, tornup costume he wears in the graveyard finale.

I'm not sure how zuno works it, but a three day window seems to encourage some who are unsure or not serious going ahead and placing an order with the intent or option of not paying which makes it tough for those who really do want it and would pay right away.

Thanks for the reassurance.

So, does anyone know if you have to pay the entire total immediately to secure a clothing/Hs set? Ta.

Thanks very much for that zuno!

I will try and hopefully secure an order and pay the next day, as I am waiting for funds to hit my Paypal account.

Cheers.

Rainman is working on 'The ugly(Tuco)' and 'The bad(Angel Eyes)'.
Because the first Gunman m1873 was a "For a few dollars more" version of Lee Van Cleef.
As far as I know, he doesn't have any plan to make any other 'The good' version of Clint Eastwood
because his "Gunman c1851" is 'The Good' version... :lol

Thanks,

Thanks,

Very cool. But technically the inclusion of the saddle bags and leather wrist guard make him from either "Fistful" or "Few Dollars More". ;)

I can't find a good picture of it yet, but here's the other Clint outfit as a minimate

Entropy Chicken is right. Rainman hasn't done an actual Blondie from GBU yet. Go here to see the gun Eastwood uses in GBU...

It's a Navy Colt pistol that he uses in the first movie. The wrist guard and gun Rainman crafted are all from the last movies in the trilogy.

Here is a link to the guns used in the last movie...

You can see that the Army Colt and wrist brace version of Rainman's figure makes a great companion piece to the Col. Mortimer figure already released. But in order to have the "Good," "Bad" and "Ugly" Rainman is going to have to do a second Eastwood. I vote for the bounty hunter outfit too.

Thanks, buddy. Those pics and info are great references!
