No. He left the company about 10 years ago. I think it was shortly after the second movie came out and bombed. Not sure that it had anything to do with it,but it was the title of an article I read in one of the game magazines.

Woooooooow I never saw that gameplay footage before now....seriously looking good there. This one went from a meh, to a....hmmmm interesting! I always loved the MK franchise more as a kid but after MK3 I just stopped caring. Hopefully this will make it awesome again .

He'll always be there, but will he be Noob or Noob Saibot. Just because one of the head creators left it was no reason for Boon to drop Saibot off of the characters name, it was the characters name. Noob is an insult now in the gaming community, sounds dumb for a character name.

Yeah, but Noob is Ed Boon's name spelled backwards as Saibot is John Tobias' name spelled backwards. It wouldn't make sense to axe his own part of the name to that character and leave Tobias'.

Not only that, but amonst gamers it's "newb" with an emphasis on "new". It's just coincedence that Noob sounds identical. If that character remains intact I think it should be the whole name, if nothing else than for traditions sake.
