"Gotham City Sirens: The Gimp Strikes Back"

not getto enough

what about the concept art makes it bad? besides being material for a movie you despise? (even though you had a SS sig for a VERY long time.)

it's really some great concept art.

concept art is better than what we got

I don’t know. I just met some guys about story points. It’s not a done deal or anything. But it’s just fun to shoot the bull when it comes to stories. And if we can elevate any kind of concept it’s good. We’ll see.

It begins.

Hollywood really wants to get Mel back into the fold. It's time. And if he's a good boy they will award him with.... Squad 2...?

That's a punishment, not a reward. But it will show just how desperately Mel wants back in.

It's either this or Lethal Weapon 6.

You have it backwards.

Mel doesn't need to do SS2. Mel doesn't need to do anything.

If Mel takes on SS2 it'll be to attempt something transcendent with a genre he finds mostly mediocre.

The desperation is on the studio's part, to recruit someone at Mel's level.

i really hope and wish they lock him in for this sequel. it would be one of the funniest things because it would make so many people shocked or mad :lol (Plus the movie could come out being amazing)

Doubt it.

The look, tone, and characters have all been established in SS, and since the film was financially successful, whatever Gibson does will only be an extension of Ayer's vision, so unless it's an unofficial reboot, you'll still have "Honka honka" running around with tattoos and a ridiculous team with the latest pop music playing.

a good director can save any movie. Mel can work a miracle. he will guide the actors. it would be great.

The people of WB are different from us, it's true, but ultimately I believe that is a good thing. They won't necessarily make the same mistakes we did, but if you guide them, Mel, if you give them hope, that's what this symbol means. The symbol of the House of Mel means hope. Embodied within that hope is the fundamental belief the potential of every person to be a force for good. That's what you can bring them.

You can't say for certain what anyone's motivations are. Mel might want studio dollars to help fund The Passion 2. Said studio might do so only with the stipulation that he help turn their ailing DCEU around. I haven't seen the slightest evidence that he simply wants to "to attempt something transcendent with a genre he finds mostly mediocre." He hates superhero movies and has said as much. I can only assume that he'd be receiving some other benefit for signing on.
