Hey by the way just saw the Jan 3 announcement, why don't Sideshow change their name to STARWARS COLLECTIBLES and be done with it!!

How many SW announcements have we heard in the last year or so? More to the point if my house is looking the way it is with all the LOTR collectibles, sweet jaysus I can't imagine what a SW collectors house looks like!!

What's that now?... 47 announcements for SW over the 12 days!!

Ok it's 3 but that's 25% of the 12 day quota..........

now this is a true Gandalf PF, just hope his staff lights up. I know the LOTR collectors feel like SS is deserting them, but the products they do make have been fantastic!!

please let Jan 4 be a preview of the ringwraith we all want and so desperately need!!

It's going to be awful hard to beat the likeness this statue had.

I always thought the LSB had a decent likeness.

In order to have a debate there must be something that even remotely compares. In this case there isn't, so what's the point?

Right, i am now practised in the arts of talking to you Woodsy, so i'm going to try to have a rational DEBATE with you without anything nasty or inflammetery coming out!

This Gandalf PF likeness looks FANTASTIC, when it's all done it could be the best PF so far, but i think we need to wait until it's finished and painted before we call it the best likeness of GTG ever. If it is, i will agree and praise it. But there are alot of things to compare. Obviously, the weta Gandalf the White bust is the best SO FAR, at least in my opinion, but there is also the GTG weta bust and statue, Gentle Giants bust and also of course the Sideshow GTG Legendary Scale bust.
There's alot of good Gandalf products out there so let's hope this joins that list and climbs to the top, even if i won't be buying it as i'm not a PF guy

this one I'm actually excited for. I haven't bought any LOTR and after the disappointment of Aragorn after it was changed and it didn't even look like the picture of the box, I've had some second thoughts on ordering any of these pieces, but this one may change my mind.

Toy Fair is in February if I'm not mistaken. I thought though that SSC doesn't go to Toy Fair but does something in house themselves during the event or is that something else?

The Aragorn PF was one of Sideshow's best pieces IMHO. I loved mine and if I hadn't needed to quick cash I wouldn't have sold it. The fact it sold so fast is telling since great PFs from Sideshow's catalog linger a bit even with discounts. The Frodo PF was a 6, I've seen paint jobs bringing it out more but it could use work. Gandalf the White was a 7 again a few more touches but the Aragorn was damn near a 10.
