Resident Evil movie Reboot?

that movie made me laugh so hard

Its my go to movie now when I have had a bad day at work or a bad week at work. Surprised at how much fun it was and how well written. The voice cast was well done too and did their roles well.

Back on topic though, how would you want them to tackle the first movie in the reboot ? Stick close to the story from the first game as much as possible or do a little like they did in the first original RE movie and give us elements of the first game but still do some original things. I mean, the mansion was huge so they can play with that. Or even start it in Racoon City itself with the virus being shown slowly invading the town and the we see all those bizarre incidents that were shown at the beginning of the game play out, which then forces STARS to investigate more.

I mentioned multiple times, but the writing is already there. They just need good sets and a good cast. They don't need to be known actors for it to work. One game for each movie. Although most don't like RE4, I think it would make for a good film, but after the first act the game starts to go down hill.

So the reboot following the games would feel very fresh. if they use the different creatures like giant spiders and stuff then it would be very different as well. theres a lot of monsters to choose from besides lickers and dogs.

But knowing Capcom they would probably say no. They already said no To Paul Anderson when he was trying to be closer to the games. Capcom wanted the movies to be as crappy as they are, so that fans would have something "new"

****ing Milla going hand to hand with him... GTFO. In the games, the Tyrants (which Nemesis is) are unstoppable more or less and are pretty much mass produced Hulks. Now I don't know how canon you can take the game, but in the Operation Raccoon City game, the one Tyrant tossed a car and Nemesis threw a city bus down the street at Jill.

But little 120lb Milla can punch Nemesis in the face? I know she was experimented on yada yada... but please.

Even though all the monsters were more or less based on SH2, which are all derived from James' psyche... I still think it was done well.

Make it a horror movie. Walking dead style. I mean come on resident evil has more than enough monsters to freak people out. Make it scary. Bring in the hunters and crimson heads

A faithful adaption of the first game is what I want to see. The Milla-movies never interested me and IMHO a big mistake when the games seemed to change to match the style of the movies.

I wouldn't match everything. For instance rather than having the costumes they had in the game, give the Alpha and Bravo teams SWAT or Rescue-style police uniforms. That kind of thing. Just do it seriously and not over the top.

As bad as resident evil 2 was, as far as looks, sets, atmosphere and even plot it felt the closest to the game.

The first movie is the best one and it is a great action horror movie but it doesnt really resemble the game.

But the second one is the closest to the game i think. As bad as it is they at least got jill right.

I hope the reboot got stuff like that right but capcom would never let it happen

Your right but the first movie felt like a spin off from the games. Like a movie about what happened during certain events. After two they just butchered the timeline and characters in favor of trinity knock off.

I think i predict that the new reboot will probably be pushed to become like a fast and furious kinda movie.
Or just like full bloody action without any horror at all.

I could see capcom wanting just an action adventure franchise
