Hit after hit? Yea he made mortal kombat which is alright and others but he makes ****ty movies. Resident evil is a hit Becuase it's some dumb action flick. Nobody takes the movies seriously. Yea I think he won't find that many projects after this. He's better then bowell but that's not saying much. I'm sure he made good movies but based on what I've seen in these terrible re movies he won't get like huge projects.

Paul WS Anderson is a journeyman film director. As long as the films he makes bring in profit he'll have work.

Myself, I'm wondering if a certain troll has even seen this movie yet. :lol

This troll?

Hope your not talking about me. I saw it already and liked it so..... Shut up.

In Hollywood, as long as your movies made money, you will get jobs. For Paul WS Anderson, all his movies has been making money in some ways or another so he will get more projects.

In fact, winning Oscars and awards and accolades yet the movie bombing in the box office is the one way trip to jobless director.

It's all about the benjamins with Hollywood. The last two transformers movies were badly reviewed yet made so much money that producers will BEG Michael Bay to make more.

I ordered the RE first 4 movies Quadrology blu-ray set earlier today. I was just looking for the UK release date of retribution and saw the quadrology was only £10 with free postage! So i jumped on it.

I will likely pass on the retribution blu-ray for a couple of months till the price drops a bit. Im not willing to pay £22 for retribution after ive paid £10 for the previous 4

Whats the deal i heard about them doing audio commentary for afterlife? are they making afterlife/retribution 2 pack? or a 5 movie release somewhere?

Milla tweeted a video of her, Boris and Paul in a recording studio and said they were about to record the commentary track for Retribution and also said they just finished doing a track for Afterlife.

In an interview before Retribution came out Paul said there could be a director cut of the film cause there were longer, more dialogue heavy scenes that were edited down (like the alt cut of the Alice/Carlos/Becky clones and two other deleted scenes found in the extras and apparently the scene with them walking in the subway tunnel had more). There are also some deleted scenes that we haven't seen yet like the one with Jill and her team escorting the captured Ada through the Moscow train station as they follow Alice and co.

So that is why people have the idea that there will be a re-release of Afterlife and Retribution once the final movie is released on DVD/blu-ray. Everyone is assuming that the final box set with have special edition/extended cuts of the last three movies plus additional unreleased special features.

sounds interesting. Hopefully after the 6th movie, if it is the end we can get an all bell and whistles 1-6 blu-ray set in a nice box with all the special features and audio commentaries.

Watched re 1 with audio commentary today, and a few of the featurettes of the first movie

i had a glimmer of respect for PWS anderson whilst making this movie. he did exactly what i would of done. Well, in theory

He didnt want to copy a game directly, otherwise you could just go and play the game. The red queen was a tool to read out the diaries and such you find so it fills in the story here and there. the camera angles he deliberatly filmed whenever possible & all though it wasnt obvious in the movie, ocne you see th making of its apparent that they constantly put emphasis on open doors like the loading screens. And at the time it was before RE Zero was made so he was trying to put a pre-mansion incident spin on the movie. Though theres a few times during the commentary that it seems apparent that Paul and at least Milla had been present to works in progress of either Zero or the remake

Yeah, I agree. I actually tried to get these points across to some of my friends who had complaints it back when the first movie came out.

There are a lot of very RE elements that get swept under the rug due to the movies all around quality. It's a shame the first movie gets as much hate as it does.

Shoot, they even put a dog jumping through a window into the movie. :lol

The first movie is the only one I care for, because they cared to get the Resident Evil formula right and in my opinion, succeeded. The sequel was such a huge let down, and don't get me started on the rest :lol

Just watched the 2nd movie. Theres 3 Code Veronica refferences i noticed. LJ having the double gold guns, the ashfords & Alice dropping her gun, falling and catching it mid fall. Theres maybe more. Also mentions of Arklay, the STARS team being very very similar to Remake Chris bar they have a slightly different green vest and wear elbow pads.

Loved seeing the umbrella team wearing the same logo with the swords as the team from re 3 and also ORC.

Good fun film dudes.

Siennas audio commentary makes it sound like shes in love with the Jill character she played and loved the movie. I feel sorry she was so lonely doing it on her own.

I actually would really like a figure of Paton
