Hey, 7 is great - they could have only ordered the pilot or 6 episodes. No network is going to give a full order for a new show, it just isn't done any more unless Spielberg is behind it.

Or if you're Lucas and you just start making 100 episodes using your own money and find a network in due time. :D

I can't wait for this. And now that I know Amy Acker's gonna be in this, i'm even more impatient! I just hope people don't find it difficult to connect with the series with that veyr few episodes.

Got any links to news updates on this series? I am really excited about this and hope that it finds an audience and manages to grow into a series with some depth to it. Fox is terribly fickle, though... :sick

It could explain the somber looks on their faces.

I really am looking forward to this show. I haven't heard much about it recently. Let's just hope Fox does give it a chance.

Apparently there's not enough in the show's budget for everyone to wear shoes.

Or maybe Fox canceled the show before they had a chance to finish dressing.
such comedians.:lol:lol:lol

thats a great group of characters to get the whedon treatment. cant wait for weekly doses of whedon again. its been waaaaaaay too long.

Fox just announced it's schedule and Dollhouse is a midseason show. I didn't see what the order is, but midseason is usually just 13. Knowing Fox it's probably 6.

The "dolls" do look fake - I probably would have put them in white briefs and t-shirts like paper dolls.

Yeah! it looks like he was able to spend some money for the pilot! It looks great, but ket's wait until 2009 (long wait!), it looks like a story for a mini series, I'm not sure how this show will develop and if it'll be able to establish a mythology, like Buffy, Angel and Firefly.

Hopefully Joss will have a panel at SDCC and offer the attendees a prolonged glimpse into the Dollhouse. :monkey5 :monkey5 :monkey5

Fox has ordered 13 episodes and is going with their "Remote-Free TV"... Which means less commercials.

Here's a sneak-peek.

Looks good so far! My Wife will be stoked... She was just asking about this today, and to have Joss AND Tahmoh Penikett from BSG onboard... she will be very happy indeed. :D

I guess Whedon is trying to get BSG writer Jane Espenson on-board too.

And there's already an on-line campaign to stop Fox from canceling the show. :lol

I don't blame the petitioners. How many great shows have witnessed the axe of the Fox Network? This show has a lot of promise. Heck, I know it will be great! It's Joss Whedon! btw Jane Espenson rocks! She loves Joss, and she wrote one of my favorite Buffy episodes, Earshot. Very intense and had its hilarious moments.
