They both look pretty awesome, I kinda like the pose and the environment the Steve Wang piece is standing on a little more than the Stan Winston version.
If its 2000+ bucks I dont think I'd be buying it though, I really want a 1:1 Terminator endo, Id rather save the 2 grand and put it towards that.

yeaa does not an excuse I know but I like the predator with hes bio helm on and yes the CM looks amazing but I like the PRED with hes Bio on and STAN'S maquette delivers it.

Cm prieces are astronomical !! so I will pass on it.
I have the felling he will be like almost 3 grand and with all the shipping and brokrage fees taxes you will be talking about alost 4k I rather buy a 1:1 Scale endo full size.

The CM delivers that better than the Sideshow. Especially when you don't have the space for the 1:1 bust.

How much is a Sideshow Predator Maquette exclusive going for these days? I wonder how much is the real gap in prices when all is said and done.

There was one on the shelf in a retail shop I was checking out a couple of days ago... not sure if it's the exclusive or not, it was unmasked for display. At the current exchange rate it would be about $1200 US. If I could afford it, I'd just have to find a way to carry him home, and save a crapload not having to pay any shipping. I only wish I had that kind of money to spend, but I don't...not now, anyway. Major bummer.

I hear that. I seriously need to liquidate some of the stuff I no longer care so much about so I can snag some of these rare items that have been turning up lately. Think $1200 is too much to pay for the SSC maquette? It sold for about 1K new, right? That's not too much of a markup actually. Still a cuffload of $$$ anyway...

Ive just been browing this thread and I am totally blown away by the Sideshow and CM pieces, both are simply stunning.

I was alrady aware of the CM but I had no idea sideshow had ever produced a Predator marquette. The interchangable heads is a great feature (this is limited to the exclusive edition right?) and this would probably sway my decision since I am a big fan of the bio-mask look. At what scale are these pices made, I assume the CM is larger.

Seeing these pics has only made me more eager for news of P1 figure by Hot Toys since its the only way I could possibly afford any form of a P1 predator.

I've lived without it this long. I'm actually enjoying the Hot Toys figures more than anything right now. They're much more within my collecting budget, too. If I started buying big ticket stuff like this then I'd have to miss out on the dios and props for sure. I still want to sell off some older stuff, but I think I'll just stick with what I've been collecting and use the proceeds for that.

The Sideshow maquette is 1/4 scale... freakin' huge! I saw one in person the other day and it's quite impressive. I'm not sure about the CM's scale, but it looks to be bigger, maybe 1/3 scale? Not sure about that. They're both gorgeous to look at, but I'm going to wait for a Hot Toys P1, too... which will hopefully be announced this Spring. Rumor has it that Dutch and possibly some of his squad will also be produced.

i have started another collecting hobby which costs $$$ just like this one we share here and letting this go,goes along way to affording bits and pieces.

i rate the predator exclusive drop dead gorgious..

Im gonna get the CM pred when it comes out, I dont care how much it is - the damn thing is so AMAZINGLY IMPRESSIVE to see in person. You have no idea!!! I went to comic con last year for 4 of the 5 days and each day I was there I stopped by the Toynami booth at least 3 or 4 times a day to get a look at this thing.

It is simply incredible.......a sight to behold......it will be the ultimate predator statue.........the thing stands I would say at about 3 feet tall, pictures do not do this thing justice AT ALL, and that is an understatement.

The SSC Predator truly has an odd pose imo. I mean that's not how I imagine the Predator and especially P1. However the Cinemaquette just reminds me of the final fight sequence against Arnold just after he took his mask off, which is the greatest moment of all Predator films!

imo cm bersion looks better to me. the SS one seems a little out of proportion, its got massive hips and thighs.( is that how the costume was?)
