I'm pretty sure the legs crossed shot might be a "Hot Stuff" body which is a seamless female body. It poses a lot better than a Phicen. I pm'd to verify.

However it has some major flaws :lecture

1. It is a lint magnet :gah: sure you can wipe off the lint, but it's a pain.

2. Although it's posable you want to use extreme caution, the joints are fragile, but if you can take care it has great posability that
is natural.

3. Price is another factor: almost $150-200 :pfft:

4. The seam lines along the body are too noticeable on certain angles.

5. Still if you are a die hard collector of female figures like me, it is nice piece to display. just be careful.

btw, it is anatomically correct and the hands, fingers, feet and toes are extremely flexible.

yeah, it's definitely a Hot Stuff body. that person posted some great pics here too.

they really can create lifelike poses. i want to get one of those bodies but the seams on the side are really glaring. i mean they are VERY noticeable.
but BD has clothes in the right places so the HT body is fine.

Not sure why you would go with that body for this figure... the joints are all pretty much covered... and the stomach detail is better on the HT body.

I just got my new HS! You be the judge! The side part makes a difference! I can see more Emily now!:hi5:

How about the hair flow on this side part...WOW! Again, not 100% movie accurate, but definitely an improvement!

I am so glad I took the risk and got it from Asia, Don't know why the States are having a hard time getting the side parted HS :dunno

In case, anyone is wondering I got it off of this auctioner, remember these photos, people were complaining about, just goes to show, that was pictured is not the actual product you will get! Thank God for that!

I agree! :exactly:

Figure is going for a bit above retail already. Maybe it'll never have that "dip" HT figs tend to have these days.

:rotfl I'm glad you see my point. However that is a very old pic, since then you can see my other recent photos on this thread that it is possible to have the side parted sculpts that has the flow of the tails similar to the film. Not 100% mind you, but more closer than what you see in the previous photo.

And what I've been noticing is that sideshow's second shipment has the tails much longer than the first run, whether it's center parted or to the side. The tails seemed to be more shaped and in tune with the movie pigtails.

However with the proper styling, you can still achieve the film look somewhat. Sorry about the blurry pic

Just for fun again, tried to to do some action with little I have to work with.

There are very cool pictures given by you of hot toy doll. I have seen and liked it a lot. Also want to know that how can you get it? I mean from where did you get it?

My Amber arrived yesterday and I finally found the time to take a few pics of my first two Hot Toys figures.

Very nice indeed! And Congrats on getting a side part. Did you get your BD from SSC.

Thanks. I got her from a german online shop, so I guess they get their figures directly from Hong Kong. Maybe they had a newer batch since they got their first Babydolls only two weeks ago.

so is SSC sending out side parts now?? last i heard, nobody ever got a sidepart from them

It's still the luck of the draw so to speak. The majority from SSC was middle parted, however I believe that some stock had a side parted hs. :lecture

That is why some retailers got a hold of the side parted assortment, the majority with the side parted inventory still favored overseas with the asian market. So..if you really want to guarantee a side parted hs, you're best bet is to go through the asian market.

However, the problem now is the inflated prices through asia, between $200-250 , some have it up to $300 not including shipping :gah:, But you have a 90% chance of getting a side parted sculpt, as opposed to the U.S. market where your changes are about 50-60%. :slap

It all depends on the retailer or dealer that got the lucky stock in the U.S. But a lot of the retailers went through the HK market.

The one I got from Alterego is side parted, not sure if they get there's from HK, but the company is based in Ohio. I still need to post a picture of her :lol
