How is the headsculpt paint app better on the OC release? If there is one thing in which the Toy Fair version suprasses the OC, it must be the paint app. The OC has the good-old plastic finish, while the TF benefits from the Hot Toys modern flesh painting techniques. And it makes a big diffrence...

So anybody had a shot at repainting this statue? Do You think it would be difficult to remove the paintjob without destroying the sculpt? The polystone from the sideshow weta line, was quite resilient to all kinds of heavy-duty paint stripping liquids, I presume this guy is made of the same stuff.

The sad thing is that if someone is more of a modeler, rather than a collector, then these recasts will sell like fresh cookies. If someone cares just about the sculpt, not the edition number/originality etc. then this is a strike for them. A simple home-made resin-recast will show very little...

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread Thank You. I am afraid its much more troublesome than it looks like. It took quite a bit of tweaking to pose it that way. Also, the velvet customs I saw on this forum, have a much better "flow" to them and drape on the shoulders in much better way.
