    1/6 Hot Toys - MMS 296 - Avengers: AoU - Vision

I had to finish gluing the suit back to the collar and used some boiling water to better shape the collar piece to the new shoulder line. I used this glue:

Very nice! What's a "water treatment"? Might try and find an extra cape on eBay and do that.

Thx! Actually, there is no sewing involved. The suit stretches so much that it can be put on and taken off without unthreading the original stitching. I wouldn't even know where to start on a price for this kind of thing. I'd be a wreck if I was working on someone else's figure.

Great job. I was always bothered by that. Any pics?

    1/6 Hot Toys - MMS 296 - Avengers: AoU - Vision

I was asked how I did this, but couldn't respond with the proper pics in PM, so I'll post it here. I started off thinking I was going to swap the whole MOS Superman body at first, but after stripping each TrueType body down, I saw that I only really needed to replace the upper torso and arms...

Mos Superman upper torso and arms. But I did some pretty extensive modification of the chest region.

Swapping out his body parts makes a big difference w/ the figure, IMO. Still some minor things to touch up, but I'm happy with the results.

Will Hot Toys be doing X-Men Age of Apocalypse figures?

Jeans actually doesn't look too bad. Mainly cause I like they used her 90's color scheme. Other than that, Bryan Singer has zero taste in superhero outfits.

Shortening the neck peg and completely removing the fat suit on the Aou Cap also helps bring out his proportions.

Lmao.....wow. I'm sorry, but if you can't understand that the Stark from IM2 who gave his testimony to the U.S. security council and the Stark at the beginning of this movie are in completely different places mentally, then I don't know how much clearer it can be made. "Fairness" doesn't excuse...

I plan on just picking up a spare body with suit. Side note: Once you remove the entire fat suit from the Auo version, his body proportions are pretty similar to the CW version.

Those blue lines are so recessed that you can only see them at certain angles. At 1/6 th scale, putting thick black outlines boggles my mind. But at least there's SOME explaination. Just a ham-fisted approach, IMO.

Interesting, but it's not the same thing. Thick black lines aren't the same as super thin blue lines.

I hope I can pick up this body down the line. I think the MOS body (slightly shortened) would look great on an AOU Vision.

Looking at this, I'm wondering why hot toys put those ugly black borders around the inner "S" (Hope) symbol.
