You guys also have to remember that I had the flash on because I have no clue how to take pictures without it. The regular head looks really good without the close-up-flash picture and the only noticable problems with the EX head is the 'grey' hair and the missing white part of her eye.

I remember that that was some consternation that SS never gave an from the behind shot of Rogue. Maybe it's because they knew that Disney had already made them change it for the final product, so they were actually trying to not raise false expectations by not showing it from the sample.

Here is a summary of the last 20 pages or so, I thought you guys would get a kick out of this:

Maybe my expectations were too high for this based on the Sideshow pics, but now that we are seeing in hand pics, my enthusiasm for this piece has taken a big hit. The paint apps on both heads looks really bad, especially around the eyes and her eyes seem to be looking off in two different directions.
I feel sick...

Ugh, WTF did SSC do with the paint on this one?

oh man this is really disappointing, I am not loving these in hand pics at all...from the shoddy paint app on the face, all the way to the different looking butt...I hope it looks better in my hands, thats all

This just buzzkilled my whole week, this was one of the few pieces I was incredibly excited about getting. This looks incredibly different from the photos on the SS website!!
There is little to no sculpt detail in the hair, the face paint app, the missing crack, I'm scared to get this one on Friday It's comforting to know that you can return something for no other reason than suckage. I think its awesome for the talented painters on the board to be able to redo something that is sloppy, but for everyone else who would have to pay someone, its annoying to drop $300+ SH and then know its going to cost another $100-$150 to get it fixed.
This is not like we are complaining about the paint app on a happy meal kids toy. $300 bucks is no joke to get something that's way off from proto pics.

If it wasn't for the eyes being messed up thats a fine looking PF.

Hmmm....the eyes are totally off, I can see clearly from these 2 pictures. I am not a big fan of lazy eyes. I agree this piece looks much better from far distance, I hope the eyes issues are not across the board, but so far we have 2 out of 2 with this issue.
So IL and Bigsilva are you going to ask for replacement for the head or you just gonna keep it?

Its also the paint around the lips and the screwed up black around the eyes, looks like a cheap hooker. Do you think they have the people at the senior home painting these up?
Hell, look at the black around the x on her chest, this is pure unacceptable crap. WTF. HIGH END COLLECTIBLE MY ASS. I’m real devastated by this. The whole piece is _____. I could cry.

Between the horrible paint and the backside looking completly different i feel like i got suckered... thats for pulling a switcharoo on us loyal collectors its very appreciated.

My first thought was, "I see her eye liner and lip stick but it looks like she put it on in a car going 100mph down a bumpy ass road."

I think this is going to be the first piece i send back and get a refund on.
i know there have only been a few in hand pics, but how different can the rest that get sent out be, Way below par imo!!

This piece makes me question going forward on collecting the X-Men Jim Lee era PFs...

well i'm glad my waitlist didn't convert , rogue's head looks really terrible.

The ass crack doesn't really bother me as much, it's the wandering eyes & atrocious paint job. All those delays for nothing. QC seems to truly be non-existent with Sideshow at the moment.

This is ridiculous!

Guys I'm glad I didn't order Rogue but feel sorry for those who payed over $300 for a top quality statue and ended up getting this...This is tantamount to false advertising by SS as the product paid for does not look anything like like the product you ended up getting. At least you can exercise your right to return this for a full refund. Hope this is an isolated incident as SS is known for producing top level products most of the time. This really looks like something that was painted by a very young child or very old person

What a crapshute this turned out to be!...
I was able to get SS to delay taking my payment for this until the 4th prior to processing, but after seeing these pics, I am VERY disappointed!!! I'll wait to see a few more statue pics this week, but if things don't improve drastically I plan to call SS and cancel my order. I'm also going to ask for my NRD back.
Can't believe they can screw up a paint job so bad. This is only 1 of 2 orders I've had in for the entire year and I'm stunned. Now I'm going to go clean up the barf off of my keyboard...

The problem I have with this is her eyeliner. Look how wobbly & thick its painted compared to the production piece. The right eye should had been closer to the nose area. Those upper lips needs to be fuller too. These painters / artist needs to go back to school & learn how to hold a paint brush. This should have never passed QC.

They'll give the usual response........"you are the first one to call about the problem."

It should have been displayed at SDCC in it's sanitized form then.

My condolences to everyone who purchased this. QC will be the downfall of sideshow if they ever get any competitors in the market. With PF's averaging over $350 this is unacceptable. I have never been so happy that I passed on a piece. Emma Frost PF says welcome to the club Rogue.

Some kid at SDCC was probably drooling over the statue and said "I'd sure like to fill Rogue's crack" and someone from SSC overheard and got the wrong idea.

Seriously, though, it's just bizarre. I'm still reserving judgement until I see the statue in person but if it really is as awful as I fear then it's going back for a refund. And I'll have to send it back from England!!! (Expensive).

You guys all have my sympathy. I ordered a regular one and was really excited to put her with my Gambit, but now I'm just worried.
I hope with all the complaints and returns that SS will fix the heads before the regular ones ship. It's not likely but one can dream right.
