Ummm... the figure is called "Baby Doll" ... I think that's what the figure is SUPPOSED to conjure.

Well I hope that Rocket ends up looking like a spaceship and Blondie is painted to have yellow hair then.

I found that if you tweak the facial features a bit, the face shape seems rounder, without having to actually edit the face shape itself

Uhm... wow... no offense, but that looks horrible IMO.



I for one really hope HT won't change the sculpt too much, because the HT sculpt looks way more badass than Baby Doll ever looked in the film. Her face just often looked too whiney/ready to cry, while the HT sculpt has determination and more badassness.

I can't believe i actually like the Amber figure better... i think this looks ok, but female figures are not HT's thing just yet, they just haven't had the practice so to speak...

I agree with Entity: it's just two different expressions of the same person, and I'd prefer the one where she looks more determined rather than about cry.

I guess tomorrow's HT POs from SSC will be Baby and Amber since SSC Alex confirmed the Toy Fair EXs won't be put up this month.

I feel like a mix between Larry's shop and the HT would be the ideal sculpt I suppose. A determined look, but with big eyes. Features that make her face look rounder. A more accurate nose and fuller lips. It seems like it would work out for the better. Even though she looks scary, I will commend Hot Toys for making one of the most battle ready facial expressions they've ever made. Give her a sword and it looks like she's ready to attack. Give Jill a sword and it looks like you need to insert batteries into her back so that she can come to life and then attack.

Hope they fix the sculpt a bit on her face, other than that, this is on my list of HT figs for this year.

It's funny that you categorize people who don't drool over this HT figure & may offer their opinions on what they dislike as 'whiners'. Did it ever occur to you that some of these same people were/are looking forward to buy this entire line of figures for their collection's?

If you're expecting every post to be roses & rainbows from page 1 forward you're sadly mistaken. These figures cost too much money for people to just accept things they may find mediocre/poor quality without saying a word.
