This game's looking worse all of the time. Played the demo last night and it was unfortunately....very meh. Gamepro review's up today, and it's pretty low.

Was planning on buying a game this week with my K-Mart coupons, but Enslaved looks blah as well.

What didn't you like about Castlevania?? Too much like Ninja Gaiden/God of War?? It's on my Gamefly because I'm too cheap to buy another game this month, but I'm just curious why you don't like it.

With a cast of Jason Isaacs, Robert Carlyle, and Patrick Stewart I can't turn my head on Castlevania.

Enslaved seems just alright, but it's from the people that made Heavenly Sword, which I ended up hating.

Something intangible. Didn't feel like it had an identity. I'm not hung up on the whole "It's not Castlevania enough" thing, but it felt a little bland. Sir Patrick Stewart reading a page of a book to me didn't work for me, I just skipped through it.

I realize it was just a demo, but nothing grabbed me. My mind isn't made up yet.

That's how I felt when I played it. It seemed bland and borint. :dunno These action games for me are pretty much all the same. I prefer something with a little more substance like Drakes or something.

Indeed, Patrick Stewart reading was so boring...and besides, i think Robert Carlyle is a great actor, but as Gabriel he didn't delivered...the voice does not match the protagonist

I'm definitely going to purchase this when I get paid on Friday. I just hope they don't stop making the Symphony of the Night style games. I still love those and get a kick out of playing them whenever they release a new one.

I'm sure they will. Regardless of review scores or sales numbers, one of the biggest reasons people are complaining about this game is that it's no longer the 2D Castlevania. I say give us both. Mix and match as long as the story is awesome.

Like I said, it's an uninspiring cheap clone of God of War. Even the health fountains themselves are a carbon copy of the health stations in GoW. It's quite sad to see a series such as Castlevania fall victim to the mindless hack-and-slash, button mashing, mind numbing theme of recent games.

A series they debuted in 1986 is now directly copying a successful franchise that isn't even 5 years old yet, funny how that works. If you can't beat 'em, copy them.

I wasn't arguing this fact til I was blue in the face for my health. Good to see others have the blinders taken off.

Oh I'm sorry I forgot I can't talk to other posters who share the same thoughts as me, without being a troll.

Other users can post "It seemed bland and borint." and "This game's looking worse all of the time. Played the demo last night and it was unfortunately....very meh."

But when I agree with them, and have a discussion with them...since it's different than what you think, I'm trolling. Right, lay off whatever you on.

Doesn't matter as you've already been reported. As already stated you sound like a broken record and can't seem to keep your mouth shut.

No worry I just reported you for being a rude, ignorant, argumentative fool...that needs to throw a temper tantrum every time I don't agree with him because he doesn't like me. I'm talking with other gamers about the games weaknesses and flaw and why we didn't like it. That doesn't mean you get to pipe in every post and bash me, just because you have a personal vendetta with me, yet others can say freely why they think the game isn't good.

And there you go baiting me again into another one of your pointless arguments.

The mod of this section already warned you to make your point and move on. It's obvious you're just trolling now.

Though it's redundant by now, I do feel the need to respond to your posts above. Calling this game a God of War clone is just like calling God of War a Devil May Cry clone (and Rygar, and Ninja Gaiden, and many games that came before GoW). And you are hardly of the capacity to speak of the Castlevania franchise with any sense of familiarity, outside of trying one game and an LoD demo you know nothing of it. And if you had read through my posts on the last couple pages, you'd know that Castlevania had been doing 3D hack-n-slash action games long before God of War was even an idea in David Jaffe's head.

FQRizzo and Badmoon already shared their opinions and I respect them. You just keep coming back. You don't see us doing the same in the Enslaved thread.

This is funny. If asked I'm certain other members would use this description for you. I'm hardly throwing a temper tantrum, I'm just dishing it back the way you give it. And you're right, I don't like you. I never asked for your opinion of me, nor do I care. Nobody else in here stating their dislike of the game is behaving like you therefore I don't have a problem with them saying what they think. You're an opinionated kid who resorts to childlike behavior when someone disagrees with you. This is evident with your attacks on me in other threads.

I'd be fine with that. I'm actually hoping that Konami can master 3D Castlevania as well as they've done with 2D. It might be kind of cool to see them split the franchise into 2D scrolling games for the handheld systems and finally successfully branch into the 3D realm on home consoles.

I'm one of the few people that actually had fun playing the N64 Castlevania, though. I didn't really like the PS2 games however.

Game these days have abandoned their roots. Resident Evil lost the zombies and the terror atmosphere, Devil May Cry has lost the cool loking Dante and gave us a Justin Bieber "Dante" and now Castlevania lost the adventure guy versus a prince of darkness in a Castle. I wonder why producers make those things...i mean, look at Mario, it's basically the same thing over and over, and Mario games are great. Changing the course does not mean a good game. As a user from the powerful videogames i want to see the old games turned into a powerful game whithout loosing it's origin. Just finished playing Enslaved...had more fun with it than with LOS.

No way. God of War is it's own beast way different than DMC. Castlevania has been doing shoddy hack-n-slash games, no where near the caliber of the GOW series.

Well I don't see you doing this in the Enslaved thread because it's actually a really good game. The mod of his section warned me?

I'm fully aloud to voice my opinions on a game without getting yPlasmid and Wookis panties in a bunch.. I'm no kid wookie, make no mistake child.
