X-men First Class (Singer is back)

I'd love to see a reboot of X-Men...especially if they used Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Angel & Iceman for the First Class.

The original Brotherhood of Evil Mutants line up (Magneto, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Toad & Mastermind) would be cool for the villains, IMO.

Snoopy got the right idea! Such a smart beagle. What I would do, X-Men first class trilogy:

Movie 1 - Set up. Keep the plot basic. The real first class, Professor Xavier, Moira, Magneto be the main players. Act 1: introduce the players and get to know them. Act 2: Show the rift that develops between Charles and Erik (yes bend continuity a little to show Magneto involved with the first class). Act 3: showdown between Magneto and the first class.

Movie 2 - Introduce the original Brotherhood. Throw in Sinister for menace. Act 1: get to know the characters a bit better, leading into a part of the ways act 2 where Moira leaves Charles. Charles sends the X-Men on a mission which he thinks is against Magneto only to have Sinister kidnap Scott and Jean. Act 3: rescue and escape from Sinister. Use this to set up sequels BEYOND the third film.

Movie 3: Basically build the characters into their more established personas (but not Phoenix.) Have a square off between Magneto/The Brotherhood and the first class. Results is the X-Men beat the brotherhood but have them questioning themselves. Introduce the "next class" toward the end in small or even cameo roles.

Well its only natural. Assuming they follow and simplify the First Class idea as a reboot they can get younger actors (except X and Erik), and pretty much run them though about 6 or so films if they are smart and take it right up to the Goblin Queen/Inferno story - hence why you need Sinister.

Oh it won't. Sadly. Because it makes too much sense and is so easily done. I'd love to see it happen as well but.. well look at what we got from Singer for the two X-Movies he did. The Wolverine show. It wasn't about a team of mutants working together to show they aren't all bad, it was about how a team of mutants deal with a loose cannon who can't remember who he is.
