I Believe in Christopher Nolan I Believe in Christopher Nolan I Believe in Christopher Nolan
can't agree any more on that!
Once again, joker said he had a wife, but he never mentioned kids. What if you push this movie into the future, say ten, fifteen year, joker has died in Arkham (happy!?!) and his son decides to continue what his father set out to do. He resorts to jokes, tricks, and of course, riddles. While bruce reads papers, and hears about these events, he once again builds a new suit, and goes back into the business to get the riddler. The cops see that he is truly innocent, and try to help him. riddler kidnaps Coleman Reese, forces batman's identity out of him, and then kills him, so he'll be the only man (besides bruce, alfred, and morgan freeman) who knows batman's identity. He uses it against him to get into his mind, and.......that's all i have. yup sorry. i'll try to think of more.
I'm not saying that Ledger's performance could never be matched or bettered. What I am saying is that because of his death there is an added layer of emotional complexity in recasting the role. If he is indeed nominated for an Oscar it will be more difficult still, and if he manages to win it will be near-impossible - the amount of scrutiny the new actor would be under would be disproportionate to the film itself, and I just doubt the studio and Nolan would want to take that on. I do think had Nicholson died after making Batman in '89 it would have been even tougher for Ledger - that role would have been elevated to a more mythical status. But even then it's not a great comparison, since Ledger's role was part of a re-boot rather than a continuation of a character. To re-boot the Joker character within Nolan's world is an interesting concept, but it would be a complicated plot point and unnecessarily fussy, IMO. There are other villains that can be used, even if they do require extensive re-imagining from Nolan to get them to work in his world.
Yeah, i agree that its tough to have a replacement for the Joker/ Heath Ledger but I think the one actor who can do him justice and still have his own take would be Johnny Depp. I know there have been rumors of him playing the riddler but I think Johnny Depp would make an excellent Joker. Just my opinion.
Plus i get annoy when people see one thing being done, and think that that's the only way. There are other alternatives. people have their own ways of portraying characters. they don't have to copy, or impersonate.
I can do impressions and i'm only four years old
No we dont. Stop with the Joker recasting stuff. No person would want to do that. One, i'd would be just...wrong, two, like Kib said, everyone would compare it to Ledger, that would make the job extreamly difficult for the actor, and 3, everyone loved Ledger's Joker so much, they wouldnt want to see some dude be compleatly different....or be the same.
Before TDK was ever thought up...yes. Depp wouldnt want to do that. No self respecting actor would either.
I want what hes smoking........
i think that ur taking these movies a little bit too close to heart.
they are still just movies.
and plus if you want to say the abbreviation for it would, don't say i'd, say it'd
