Helmet doesn't come close to fitting but it does look good with him holding it. I'm one of those people who feels a helmet less Thor is incomplete so as long as he can be posed like this it works for me. Sorry for the crappy iPad pic.....

Well, I wasn't planning on it, but I found a good Memorial Day sale this weekend and grabbed the last Avengers Thor from a dealer. I also have some Avengers parts coming which I intend to bash with my Thor version 1, so I will have a chance to display a different look.

If my IM Mk VII WL converts, I'll end up with all the HT Avengers released to date. I never thought I'd complete a line of figs, but it's my favorite IP right now.

Eventually I'm going to try and mod the head so I can put the helmet on, granted it will be a permenant fit though.

Try looking into the interest section. As for the steps on how to take the cape apart, I just got a new Thor figure, and I'll try to make one time taking pictures of step by step tutorial. But don't cou t ofpn me any time soon, both work and 1/6 hobby has been extremely busy, I'll do the best I can to squeez time for this.....

I was on the fence about this figure at first. I saw it on display at a local comic book store and I was hooked. Such an amazing piece... I wish it had the helmet though!

Is there any reason for concern about cracking on the rubber arm pieces?

Thor never wore a helmet in the Avengers movie.

There may be a concern about rubber cracking over time depending on the environment you store your collectibles in, but unless you have the money to provide the climate control, I wouldn't worry about it. Ultimately, whatever happens will happen...

I dunno why everyone wants the helmet. It had seven seconds of screen time between Thor and Avengers..

Because its iconic to the character. It SHOULD have had a lot more screen time.

It's iconic to the comic book version of the character, not so much for this current gen of movies, nor this particular Avengers action figure.

True. I myself am not so much movie accurate as I am character accurate, maybe many of the people wanting the helmet are like me in that regard. Plus if you pose him with Loki and Odin they both have great helmets, Thor would seem out of place without his.
