Whatever happened to the official figures? Did they not get made?

They did, released Q1-Q2 I guess

I'm liking the render you're working on Sigito. Curious, why not begin with a mesh from the game files and refine it to sculpt quality?

Thank you. Yeah you can't always get a model from the game, even if I did, probably it's a different format, and usually it's a full body sculpt so the polygons are not as much and detailed as if it's a head only. And that's kinda cheating LOL, an artist doesn't work like that, (well maybe it's just me) but I like doing it from scratch, my own sculpt, that's the way to learn, to hone my skills, to be better

I'm concerned though - the announcement says authorized regions are in Asia; this might be region restricted...

they seem to do that at the beginning of their releases for licensed stuff. Like the Warcraft statues went up for PO in Asia months before they did over here. They're amazing 1/4 scale T2 Terminator statue has been revealed for about 5 months and still hasn't gone up for PO in the US. Speculation on my part but could be Asia gets first dibs or something like that but I really don't know.

I love all pictures they have of the movie version Figure. The stand is amazing. I wish they Edward figure had a deluxe base as well, maybe the Jackdraw’s rudder.

Fair enough! I can respect that entirely. I have no digital sculpt experience, so I'm simply curious. Keep up the good work!

I hope so - Assassin's Creed is strangely licensed. I know that's the reason NECA let the license go without renewing since they were limited to the NA market. There are the legacy busts from Ubi Collectibles that are strangely hard to get in the US as well. I'm sure we can get this guy over here somehow, it just would be nice if there is a direct release into the states.

I'll say though - this is the type of figure that I think falls into the 'HT Killer category'. If DAM keeps this up and pulls more film and game licenses they could really carve out a niche in the market.

DamToys has been amazing. Also their non licensed pieces under the VTS/Virtual Toys company umbrella (which is still DamToys) have been amazing.
Their version of Mad Max is a beautiful piece.

....and the Epoch Cop which is Judge Anderson from Dredd are stellar. I honestly wish they would make their version of Karl Urban as Dredd.

Also their Justice Judge of Stallone’s Dredd is another up coming release which not only looks amazing has an incredible base as well.

So a HT killer? Oh yeah. Especially at DamToys and VTS Prices. I paid $135 shipped for my Mad Max (Wasteland Ranger) if HT put him out it would have easily been an extra $100 tacked on to that.

DAM is one of the old players, they always make military figures just like Hot Toys did. That's why their accessories and details are good. I'm sure their final product on AC figures will be good too. Oh and that's the first time I heard VTS is DAM too, are you sure? And yes both are really good for their price.

Always had heard they are one in the same. Also CooModel and CMTOYS are one in the same and Pangea Toys and ACI are the same company. There are a few companies out there that run under multiple monikers.

All this talk about how awesome Dam toys are just makes me more irritated that they put no effort into the Kenway head sculpt or tunic colors.

I’m not thrilled with the head sculpt either and even the prototype pictures the boot tops are put on the wrong legs as well since the split at the top is on the outside of the upper calf not on the inside of the leg...of course that’s an easy fix...but I’m hoping stuff changes before production. The head sculpt they did is amazing, but it’s not Edward.

Their Facebook page was flooded with people requesting they fix the sculpt along with a ton of screenshots showing what he should look like ... and they didn’t respond to a single comment.
Doesn’t give me much hope anything got worked on.

There are images of the boots being in the right position. It's the images that showcases the three figures. Altair, Edward, and Aguilar. Hope to see them do Ezio from brotherhood or revelations, plus Jacob and Evy would also be great.

Those would be some great characters...I would be in for a Conner also...but I hope they also do some of the villains from the games...my trail figure from this line though would have to be shay cormac

Sooooooo good. The original is still one of the best. This totally has the makings of being my favorite figure of the year. If the production piece has as much detail as these prototype pics I’ll be in heaven. The detail paint apps just in the hands is amazing.

What's the quality like on final releases for this company? I usually just buy statues so I'm kinda concerned with the quality of the clothe materials and if it's a given they will become faded or torn over time. I'm really wanting the Kenway and hoping they do A Bayek.

DamToys is top notch. They really hit their stride with some of the best military figures ever made and really took off with their stylized Gangsters Kingdom Figures.

Brilliant- actually have the soundtrack in my car as I write this. Spots 2&3 in my 6 disc changer are both Assassin’s Creed IV....nothing like pulling up to another vehicle at a red light and have a Sea Shanty blaring out my window.

If they give me a funny look....I just mash “X” throw out my grappling hooks and board their car! Then I steal all their $h!t before sinking them into the asphalt! Argghhhhh!!!!!
