So this is the first time this has happened to me with a Hot Toys product, but the peg for the gun holding hand on Rocket broke. Am I able to get a replacement? To I contact Hot Toys or my vendor (in this case, BBTS)? That little hand is like the most important one... :)

I would say most of the third party figures are not cartoon accurate at all, perhaps due to trying to avoid copyright infringement. Most of them are highly stylized, like fansproject, which is why they tend to fit better with Classics than Masterpiece. The exceptions are probably the igear...

This is the same sunbow cartoon that had a whole episode where power glide and a human fall in love, and another where Spike's mind is put into an even more frankensteinish robot made up of leftover autobot pieces, right?

Even knowing the origins of the toy, I always liked Jetfire (the toy) more than Skyfire (the cartoon). Skyfire seemed wishy washy and pretty weak. It was like every stray shot could bring him down. I mean I know he was a scientist but still.

But whirl isn't a macross design? And the Takatoku Valk design is still one of the best toy designs out there. We're actually kinda lucky they licensed it from Takatoku (I like road buster too, especially with the added armor). Isn't the only reason they changed the design for the cartoon...

But their preorder page now includes a message basically saying sorry if we sold out so fast but it's due to the allocation by their supplier. So maybe there is some kind of limit since both yet and AE are saying pretty much the same thing. Or maybe they're trying to pump up demand.
