Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I'm just glad all these negative reactions match/line up with what I said.

Was getting a little worried when all those positive tweets were pouring in last week. I was really afraid some of you guys I talked with would think I was full of it or had **** taste. Turns out it was right on the money!

Now just waiting on this to happen,

OR

"The Ultimate Suicide Squad cut will fix everything" logic. :lol

More than likely will see the "David Ayer" cut...but renamed "Ultimate Edition" or something like that.

I'm glad to see there is positive reception from the fans but I do want WB/DC to get a "win". They really need a movie that gets an overall positive response from BOTH critics and fans.

There's obviously more pressure on 'Wonder Woman' and 'Justice League' now.

So what happens if the reception to those is bad? Is WB going to reboot again? Are they going to take a 'break' with the next movies to make sure everything is solid?

**** this "Ultimate Cut" nonsense. I don't want to hear that the movie in the theater wasn't the "real" or "intended" version. These movies aren't the epitome of well-crafted cinema anyway so don't warrant a special edition. Edit the movie right the first time and release it how it should be so people buy the dvd because they loved the film--not because they have to buy it to see the movie the way it should have been in the first place.

Well said, Marvel don't play that game.

Hell, not even AOU got an extended cut. :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Oh, that might be bad for the box office. I'm thinking a big chunk of cash might have came from China screenings.

this poor movie :lol

Yup, I believe WB might be finally screwed with this one.

I wonder what's WB gonna do? MoS was divisive, did well in the BO, BvS was divisive, did ok in BO, this one's reception is mainly negative and could potentially bomb...

Are they gonna release WW if SS creates DC fatigue and negative association from the audience? They invested in it already, same for JL, release it so you get your money back but risk more PR damage to the properties if it's poorly received again, which is going to virtually kill JL before release?

It's a pickle.

I say, forget the movies. Get comicbook writers and make a Netflix universe :clap

What I hate the most is that DC and WB is going to say that the reason it failed was just because Harley was not liked or marketable....

They will probably blame the female lead as the reason it flopped or they will blame the fact that they went with villains and they would think the reason it failed was because people wanted to see superheroes and no one likes Villains

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

If WB can't sell Harley's butt cheeks coming out of her shorts they better get out of the movie business.

The saving grace for this film is that Katana opens the door for a Batman and the mother ****ing Outsiders movie. Gimme that!

I just got back from my viewing of the film and all this **** about it being terrible isn't true. I enjoyed it. Yes it has its issues but I loved it more than bvs. Oh and even if Leto joker isn't in the film for long I liked his interpretation of the Joker. Good DC flick this **** is stupid with the negative reviews. We probably will get an ultimate cut that could be even better but this was a fun flick I enjoyed it for what it was.

I'd have more confidence in this movie if the only people saying it was good didn't happen to have Suicide Squad Avatars and sigs.

I've seen plenty of dudes with marvel avatars and sigs saying that they loved the movie :lecture
