Re: 1/6th Creature Cantina band

I must say I am interested. Only because I stopped all my other 1/6 inch collecting. It can get out of hand pretty fast. Now that I only collect 1/6 sideshow Star Wars figures. I gotta get this. I want the bar too dammit! I don't mind adding scenes together to make a good cantina diorama...

Though the thought of the price makes me cringe.:horror

Mmm price may be frightening, but it would be so cool to have these guys on a shelf - while their theme tune plays....!

Re: 1/6th Creature Cantina band

I'll get one for display with the instrument that looked like a flute and I'll get another to make a custom "Unidentified Bith Jedi" you see in the backround in the Jedi Temple talking to Aayla.

Where did that happen? Was it in the CW cartoons? :)

Nope. Looked him up and found this pic. He is in the far right corner

Yep that is it, not much of a showing huh? ;-) Still though Bith Jedi's look cool and will match nicely next to my Ithorian. Someone on the Bay is selling a custom Bith Jedi, this will give an idea what it would look like:

Wow. Never knew that. Thanks guys.

I will definitely get one if Sideshow do him.

Re: 1/6th Creature Cantina band

I wish I had some extra Jedi clothes, I'd get a few Star Wars aliens and make my own Jedi. I used a Robert E. Lee figure, dyed Obi-Wan's tunic green, made an eye patch, and gave him Plo Koon's double-bladed wrist gauntlet.

That's even less of a tease than the pic of the actual figures they've already shown.

Thinking that poster may be the Exclusive, ala the Han Wanted poster was for Greedo.

This is one of those ones where it should be $50-60. Super simple costume, people will buy multiples, etc.

Its not a figure were I could just buy 1 or 2. At $50 each I'm buying 4 or 5. At $80 I'm buying ZERO. Its not a $80 figure and certainly isn't a $400 display.

This is one of those rare occasions where I'm in complete agreement with ya. :lol

I think $90 is the new baseline... and I agree; no way I'd drop that much on one or a $540 for all 6. But if the set were around $300... maybe, just maybe.

Also, already got a thread on this one:
1/6 Cantina Band

Come Hell or high water...I will have all 7 of the band members. I don't care how much they cost. And the stage better be big enough for all 7 of them, Sideshow!

:)

I'm curious to see the price on these. I figure since they are basically the same exact figures with different instruments (for the most part), manufacturering costs can be split out over them all, hopefully reducing the price on them. But anything over $55 is pushing it for me.

(by the way, I've got the Hasbro set of six for $100 shipped if anyone is interested...) :monkey3

This is a tough sell... One figure alone would look silly while buying the entire group would be not only expensive but overkill... Do I really need 6 or 7 Bith musicians? I'd rather spend my money on 6 or 7 Snowtroopers or Biker Scouts.

I'm buying ONE. Just one. One Bith. With the most interesting of the instruments -- whatever that might be.

I think 2-3 is overkill let alone 7. One will go nicely along with my Cantina Aliens. Maybe he's between sets hanging with Greedo and Hammerhead.

Perhaps mine will be Chandi D'an, Figrin's stand-up comedian brother. "How many Bith's does it take to screw in a light bulb?" *Ba-dum- ding! from the Nodes*
