KOTCS Indy PF...

I hate to say it but this figure is so needless and redundant.

An Indy PF from each movie makes perfect sense and is hardly redundant, especially when you're dealing with a character/actor who's aged almost 30 years from the first film to the last. When SSC releases its second Indiana Jones PF from KOTCS then I'll agree that they're starting to get redundant. :)

Could you please go into more detail on why that is.
We already got a near perfect Indy PF, and there are so many characters that could have been done before repeating the character: Mola Ram, Henry, Marion, Belloq, Sallah, even young Indy cause he was played by a different actor...

This new PF looks like they took the existing PF (at least clothing-wise) and included a new (yet great) head sculpt. It' just so similar.

KOTCS is the last of the four movies we need a PF representation of, imo.

I think you guys need to take step back man.
If this line does want to carry on sideshow are going to have to take it slow. There a company that do take chances. The first Indy pf sold ok and I think if this turns out to be a great statue like its looking to be it will sell ok as well.
There are tons of sideshow and indy fans who wil buy this who aren't even on this forum , if sideshow truly does want this line to carry on they can't make all the most popular characters in pf form first otherwise once there left with the boring characters every time theres a new release people start complaining that there boring every time.
Sideshow has to please its fans yes, but in the end there simply a company making money and have clever ways of doing it.
I think it was a bad move releasing this statue straight after this one. I do want it but I hope if it doesn't sell too well sideshow should realize in the end this is going to be one of the least popular statues no matter how cool it looks simply because its from the worst ( in most peoples opinion ) movies and we already have an Indy pf as well.

The first Indy pf didn't sell out did it ?.
If Mola Ram was released it would sell a little better I'm sure. A pf of Mola Ram could be amazing , as some have said light up heart etc. There are a few characters who could do well , more Indy pfs too from the different and more requested movies.
But releasing all the popular characters one after the other would only make the line die out faster and thats something I don't want to see since I don't only enjoy buying the statues but I enjoy getting excited about newsletters and discussing things like this on here.

Another reason people complaining got on my nerves so much and telling us not to buy this is for the fact that future Indy statues ( such as the highly requested pf Mola Ram ) are probably likely to be partly decided on the sales of this !.

Well, of the other possible character options for the PF line that you list I would only get two of them-- Mola Ram and Henry Sr. I would have no interest in a 1/4 Marion, Belloq, Sallah, or young Indy (I would have an interest in the first three in 1/6 format though as shown by my purchase of the already released Belloq).

It makes sense to focus the PF line on the one character (Indy) that is easily recognizable to the masses and I WANT an Indy from each movie.

In addition to Mola Ram and Henry Sr I'll show which movie my heart leans towards by saying that I'd love a 1/4 Short Round AND (yes, I'm about to say it) a Willie in the opening number red dress to go with an Indy in a white tux jacket. In fact if the next five PF releases were from TOD (Indy with machete, Indy in tux, Mola Ram, Short Round, Willie in the red dress) I'd be thrilled.

Toht is the only other ROTLA character I might like in a PF.

Besides a TLC Indy I'd only want the aforementioned Henry Sr.

From KOTCS I'd consider an Irina Spalko and maybe even a Mutt if done properly.

But what people have to realize is that this line is going nowhere if the PF's don't well at the beginning-- and Indy is a sure thing. Sallah, for certain, is not. It's OK to take a gamble like a Belloq in the 1/6 line but the 1/4 line is possibly trickier.

Anyway, the pre-order will probably be this Thursday with the newsletter so I'm looking forward to finally pre-ordering something that I know for certain I won't axe later on down the road. I'm solidly commited to the Indy PF line-- and if the Exclusive is a meh then I'll happily get the regular from my local on-line retailer-- though I think a hatless older Indy might be more interesting to me than the already released Indy Exc. (which I eventually cancelled in order to just get the regular).

OK--- I've procrastinated long enough-- Time to work. :monkey2

There's no way Willie would sell better than Raiders Marion. Heck, even KOTCS Marion might sell better...

Ewww no KOTCS Marion please, only Raiders. :)

You said it. She was just awful in CS acting wise.

I'd actually prefer Willie over Marion, although Marion in her White Dress would be a welcome addition.

I never said that it'd be a better seller-- I just said that I'd have more interest in her. I have absolutely no interest in a Marion (ROTLA or KOTCS).

I wouldn't buy any other IJ PF but Mola Ram; there just isn't anyone worth my coin personally.

I respectfully disagree with your point of view. :)

And I sir, respect yours. Not many people would want a Willie from TOD-- but then that movie holds a special place for me and I love the opening sequence (as your name probably suggests that you do as well).
