Well you can never have enough Metal Gear games IMO.

I find it hard to be excited about this considering It's only being released in Japan and because of how dead the arcade scene is in the U.S. MG Arcade probably won't find it's way here in any worthwhile capacity. But I'd like to be surprised.

I'm actually insane enough to buy one of those arcade machines from Ebay once it gets released . Having one of those displayed in my gaming room/living room would be SWEET!

Yeah, the arcade scene is toast here. I think having it 3D is pretty awesome. This should take off in Japan.

A lot of arcade games are ported to consoles, so if MGA never makes it to U.S. arcades I hope it'll be available as a retail disc. However, we don't yet know what kind of controls the arcade unit has, so the retail version might need a pack-in peripheral. I don't need another peripheral in my room (*cough* Steel Battalion controller *cough*).

Well, an arcade store just opened up at my local mall. Surprisingly, it attracts A LOT of tweens, and tweenie girls who wear Hannah Montana t-shirts.

hey i still have my 3 steel battalion sets ready for some LAN battles!!! is there anyone still playing line of contact online or did capcom finally shut down the servers??

I love MGS and I have no interest, mostly because we have NO ARCADES ANYMORE here..

SO is this just basically just Metal Gear Online but for the Arcade's? If so I dont feel like Im missing much.

I was thinking the same thing. If so, I already have Metal Gear Arcade and I don't care for it.

that's what it looks like so far. maybe they are holding something back and plan on surprising us. at least that's what i'm hoping. MGO kind of blows and they better throw something else in there to sweeten up the pot or they might have a dud on their hands.

I hope there are in-cockpit metal gear fights. Rex vs. Ray (again) but in an arcadey type of gameplay? sign me up.

But I guess that's probably not going to happen if it's going to be an MGO rehash.

are you thinking like mechassault type of gameplay?? that was ok, but got boring really fast.

Yes, but faster. Mechassault (or Armored Core) mixed with a faster mech game like Virtual On or Zone of the Enders. It could be a tweaked version of the Rex vs. Ray fight in MGS4 and I'd be happy. As long as it had team battles and objectives. Throw in customizable metal gears that can be saved onto a arcade data card and it'd be sweeter.

that sounds like it could be done...i still want an update for the 360 and the ability to play steel battalion on it. also, i think a sequel would rock!!!
