You know, I didn't think I'd want the two of them to come back in a sequel... but that changed after the trailer. I noticed Ellie tattooed over her infected bite on her arm to hide it.

**** yes!!! I too was not a fan of having those two back, but I trust ND to put out a great story. TLOU is in my top 3 all time favorite games and I am so looking forward to this. Hopefully we get some decent 1/6 figures from this one too.

**** yes!!! I too was not a fan of having those two back, but I trust ND to put out a great story. TLOU is in my top 3 all time favorite games and I am so looking forward to this. Hopefully we get some decent 1/6 figures from this one too.

Yeah, even ND wasn't immediately on board with doing a sequel so I assume they got a story that won't tarnish the original. I wonder who they were talking about, I doubt it's the the Fireflies... or maybe it was and they're hunting her after the Salt Lake City showdown.

Me neither. But that was...great, to say the least. I wonder how long this takes place after. Ellie totally looks a lot more like Ashley Johnson though, damn. Wondering how Joel looks too, I was worried he was dead. I suspect that this will be different, no longer like an escort mission.

I always felt that The Last of Us was more suited for an anthology route, but definitely glad to see Joel and Ellie again, and like everyone else has said definitely one of the best games of the last generation, if not the best.

Escort mission is over. I bet it will be a COOP game this time around. And seeing how good the AI was in the first game, I imagine this will be far better. Kinda bugged me enemies wouldn't see Ellie, but it would be game breaking.

I wonder if Joel is dead and he is her concience. The Fireflies murder Joel and Ellie finds out he was murdered because he killed Marlene and destroyed the only known hope for a cure. She is angry at his lies but being older, she understands why he did it.

Just saw the Lust of Ass II trailer. Looks amazing. I wonder if this game will be focused primarily on Ellie. Actually, I wonder how old she is in this game... it looks like some time has passed since TLOU.

It was a mixed bag. If Ellie, along with the other AI partners, could be seen, it would be unfair. But the game is so realistic that Ellie not being seen until Joel is potentially spotted takes you of the immersion. I prefer it this way though, that would be so annoying. If RE4 had this with Ashley, or something similar, I wouldn't hate her as much.

Also, I feel like Joel has to be alive. That would be pretty outlandish if Joel was her hallucination. Naughty Dog has been doing more grounded in reality games, as Uncharted 4 lacked that super natural element present in the first 3 games. I mean yeah, TLoU has mushroom zombies, but it's based on a real thing taken to extremes and even then, the real enemy was humanity losing its mind. I feel like...something else happened. Tommy's town was ransacked maybe, perhaps the Fireflies are back searching for Ellie again or to take revenge on Joel and her. Joel had a more 'dead inside' vibe then he did in TLoU, and by the end he was more open with Ellie. Tommy, his last biological family dying, would totally do that to Joel and now Ellie, along with the aftermath.

I highly doubt that Salt Lake City were the only Fireflies, since the news reporter in the beginning was talking about them so I assume they're all throughout of what's left of the country. It's just that Marlene was their leader.
