Interestingly, I just grabbed my WIP Mal portrait out of storage to see how it looked after being away from it for so long...and swiftly dropped him on the floor. DOH. Thankfully he needed a ton of work anyway, but it was a bit disheartening to see his hair break away..... :) *sigh* all part of the gig when you've got butter fingers.

Trev

Hopefully he'll still be able to get it done. This quote is from a few months ago, too.

This is Great! This would work for the Sara conor chronicles/Cameron fig too.:banana

While we're waiting for more headsculpts to appear has anyone started pulling some clothing / accessories etc together for any of the characters ?
I'm tempted, but I don't want to go to all the trouble of finding and spending only to find that I can't put a head onto the finished body. :(

That's great ! It really looks the part. I like the first picture, definately has the Mal look going for it. The clothing is fantastic, you'll have to let us know how you put it together.

Hey guys, sorry, I haven't checked in here in a long time! MAN, Chris...that River headsculpt is a dead ringer! I love it! She even looks great bald! :D Very nice work!

The Mal headsculpt I had been working on was damaged when I dropped it to the ground. I tried to retool it, but it became more of a disaster. I'm just going to start over.

Here are some shots, though! I can't offer castings, as this headsculpt was damaged before I could get it molded. I'm sorry about that. the good news is, I can make a much better one the next time....I'd prefer Mal to have more expression...He looks far too dead here.

enjoy! I probably won't be able to get to making these soon, unfortunately. I'm far too slow, and all of my energy has to be put towards me Sideshow projects. I'll keep trying, though!

Thanks for looking, stay shiney!

You're killing me with those shots, Trev! Bloody gorgeous work. Shame you dropped him, I would've loved a cast of that. :banghead

PLEASE remake and offer up some casts, m'kay? He looks good as is with the stoic gaze, fantastic likeness! If you go for a touch more emotive next go-around keep it subtle.

Yeah, suffering the heartbreak of dropping these fragile works isn't fun. :( I was really upset with myself when he hit the floor! I was preparing to do some minor adjustments before getting him molded, and he slipped out of some bubble wrap I had him in.

I wanted to post it on here so I would feel some pressure to get a new one made. I'll take your advice with the expression.

thanks man

Well consider yourself pressured! :whip :lol

What material is he? Sculpey firm? Castaline?
Ever dropped/damaged stuff before? Like stuff for a client? Horror stories are always interesting to hear.

I always love seeing your work, so the more pics the better. Thanks again for sharing! :duff

Damn! That sculpt is so badass looking! Please Trevor, your our only hope!!!

Honestly, if it looked like that (pre-tweaking) I'd buy it in a heartbeat... just an awesome looking sculpt!!!

Well crap! What the heck am I supposed to do now? I'll tell ya what I'm gonna do, i'm gonna be here everyday looking at that thing thinking 'why oh why can't I have him'
Yup, that's the truth. He's amazing and I hope that we can benefit from your beautiful work very soon...where Mal is concerned.
