Does anyone know if canceling a pre-order from KGHobby incurs a 15% administrative fee?

I went through their site trying to find this policy and don't see it mentioned at all. I was under the impression that a pre-order cancellation results in you losing your deposit and that's it. This additional 15% fee of the original purchase price seems like it's a tactic to compel me to keep my order...thoughts? Anyone have any experience with this?

This was their exact response:
you can cancel a preorder anytime with us.
There is a 15% administration charge of the item price will be charged on cancellation.
You paid 20% deposit , we ll refund you 5% of the item price as store credit.
Please let us know if you want to change your mind :)

You paid 20% deposit. In most stores you lose your entire deposit. And KGHobby is giving you 5% store credit. So I’d day that’s a good deal.

Pre ordered SooSoo version a year ago from Toys Wonderland, after having good experiences with them. Subsequently forgot and have seen all the complaints about TW, but got a shipping notice and tracking number, so maybe I'll get it?

I'm hoping for you!

Opened it up. as expected heads are not amazing but better in hand than in pics. will still get better heads at some point to upgrade. the 1 piece boots was the only thing that downgraded from prototype but everything else seems top notch. nice high quality figure overall especially the suit material and proportions. Only other negative thing I could say is that I wish it included some gripping hands (difficult to use the milk bottle with existing hands) and I would love to pose him holding various objects. If SooSoo or another company did an add on pack with improved heads, split boots, gripping hands and maybe gun grip/trigger finger hands that would make it a perfect figure.

Finally got my hands on all the Toys Era sculpt (these are unreal amazing in-hand). The likeness to Antony Starr is perfection here. Here is how mine look on the SooSoo body. Proportions of all the heads to the body is amazing, almost like they were meant to be one figure lol..
Happy to call this my ultimate Homelander now. A little suggestion for anyone that is planning to use these heads on SooSoo body, try to find and use the neck piece attached, it compliments the head well and you can adjust neck length.
Now I'll wait for someone to start a custom accurate sized pauldrons replacement run. Then I'll be happy forever :)

Looks great! Best combo between the two for sure. Where'd you grab the TE sculpts from?

I was lucky enough to find a local collector that was willing to part ways with all 5 sculpts for cheap. So thankfully I didn't have to buy the entire figure

I wouldn't say I like his proportion at all. His legs are too long and his waist is too big. Make him look like a potato. Standing next to Captain, Homie's legs are even longer, though he's notably shorter. I will modify his body for sure.
The quality is top-notch though. I really like his suit.

WHAT!
I didn't know that!
I canceled at least 6 orders from KGH, and i got nothing!

I will contact them now, for the 5% refund, is it 5% of the price of the figure or it's 5% of the deposit we gave??

So! I tried taking off his suit to modify his body, and as expected, it was an already heavily modified one. Unfortunately, his front torso was padded with a big flat rubbery layer. And because this rubbery layer was flat, it would touch his chest first (which is the more swollen area) and didn't even hug his waist and belly. So no matter how much you dremel down his waist and belly, you cannot make him look any slimmer this way. If you still want to archive a slimmer look at all costs, I think the only way is to modify his rubbery pad, (which I didn't). What I did instead was to Dremel down his lower chest and ribs area, then pad his upper chest. This step would make his chest fuller, and his flat rubbery layer would hug his belly tighter. I also Dremel down his butt, and hip area too (these areas were wrapped around by a thick cloth as well). His legs, as I mentioned, were too long in my opinion. Therefore, I did shorten his calf, and it now looks more proportionate and more realistic to me.

So in conclusion, upon my experience and opinions, here is what we can do:
1/ Modify his rubbery pad, and at the same time, dremel his waist and belly (I didn't try this step though)
2/ Dremel his lower chest, front ribs, and side ribs area.
3/ Pad his upper chest area.
4/ Dremel down his hip and butt area.
5/ Shorten his calf.
6/ Enjoy.
