Freaking BARRY !!!!! Been waiting or him to show up somewhere for a LONG time
Sweet. I was going to be pissed if this was hard copy only. I have the steelbook RE5 edition and did not want to get another copy.
Any indication on pricing for the downloadable content, and/or release date?
Guys from the look of those scans, is chris in the re1 mansion?!?!?!?!?!?! That dinning room looks to be an exact replica!!!

No Jill S.T.A.R.S I'm a little disappointed anyway I'm looking forward to play Barry Burton his gun is cool!
That's pretty cool actually.I believe they go to the Umbrella facility in Europe, and all their secret underground labs have identical mansions built on top of them.
Yea, I would have enjoyed a little Jill STARS; perhaps she will have alternate costume
I believe they go to the Umbrella facility in Europe, and all their secret underground labs have identical mansions built on top of them. . .why?? cuz they're freakin' crazy.

I'm excited for this now. When's it out? Excuse the stupidity
Spoiler:On a positive note it really takes you back to RE1. In fact the entire first half is simply an ode to the original. No action, just room, to room, with things to look at, read, and collect. It will have you all giddy with excitement. You'd swear you were in the original mansion in certian rooms. The good ends here though. Once you head down the hole of the mansion and encounter the ONLY enemy in the DLC for the first time it goes way down hill. You fight this same enemy about 5-6 times, none of which are scary, all of which are like clock work, and all require the same method of dispatching. In fact, you spend the 2nd half of the DLC without any weapons. Just running and trapping the monster. I guess they thought it was puzzle gameplay. It's not. I won't even bother with the Wesker battle. It's just a timed event that requires you running around until he wants to leave. The controls are the same, but only this time without as much open space as in RE5 you'll find your partner constantly in your way in the tight hallways and rooms. I recommend playing co-op to lessen this problem. I love the direction they are heading with these controls (still need camera control), but here, in the mansion they can get frustrating. Overall I'd say it's worth a play only if you're a huge RE1 fan and want a little fanfare to feel nostalgic. It ended up making me wish the direction of the series hadn't veered off course so drastic. It really, really, really will have you wishing for an RE1 remake with updated visuals and controls.
