Because the first one was awesome? I get some people didn't like it, but this film gets a lot of love from people who did like it. I saw it six times, own the blu ray, and collect the Neca figures. There's plenty of potential with this sequel, especially with the new director.

I prefer the original design. Del Toro specifically said it was designed with a bruting American in mind and he referenced John Wayne as his inspiration for gypsy danger

These look like evangelion to me. Its cool but you can tell the inspiration for the designs are totally different.
