I Am Alive (previously known as Alive) is an upcoming action and survival video game by Ubisoft to be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and ported to Microsoft Windows. The game takes place in Chicago after a major-scale earthquake, and tells the story of a man named Adam. The gameplay is said to focus more on character interaction and problem solving. The game will also challenge players to make "life-changing decisions". The game was announced at the end of Ubisoft's E3 2008 conference.

This game is very unrealistic too, everyone knows there are no earthquakes in that region. Now had it been in California it'd be more believable.

I heard it is suppose to be a horror game. So we'll see how that plays out through the story. It looks good, but it is way to early to get any hopes up.

I didn't get the 'horror' vibe from that trailer.

That is why I am confused. I read in an article earlier this year that in which the game was labeled as a "survival horror" game. But after seeing this trailer, maybe they meant to put just "survival".

If I'm not mistaken, I read that this game is a first person adventure/survival game. I don't think you actually use weapons and stuff much. It's more about finding food/water and avoiding conflicts.

the trailer looks good, i remember playing "disaster report" i think it was called, a survival horror type of game for ps2 and it was pretty good (you against mother nature) except for the graphics but this game kinda reminds me of that one game. anyway i hope its good although Adam looks like a character you'd see in the getaway game or something.

nothing major, though...
Trailer looks cool, but the second part looked just like that scene from Children of Men....

I Am Alive Isn't Dead Yet

Emerging from the settling dust and rubble of E3 is this I Am Alive trailer, which indicates Ubisoft's troubled disaster game is still alive and kicking having resumed development in January of this year before sinking beneath the radar once again.

Playing as a survivor caught in the wake of a massively devastating earthquake, I Am Alive is all about survival and as the trailer shows, you'll not only have falling buildings to contend with but also quake addled civilians that have turned violent.

According to the video, I Am Alive is due for release in spring 2011. Check out the trailer.
