Well done!
Spoiler:on a side note I will be purchasing this entire line.....
Some of these will end up in pack-outs as random freebies in a year or so.
It's a shame, because if instead of bobble heads, these had been vinyl figures with minimal articulation, like Medicom's super deformed, VCD figures, I think HT would have had a more obvious market, since the Medicom SD figures retailed for £50 in the UK, way back in 2005!
Totally agree with this. They lost me when I found out they where bobble heads. Even if they only had head and shoulder articulation, I would have bought the entire Avengers team minimum, I liked them that much. I probably would of added an Ultron of some sort and may, just may, have been tempted to drop the cash on Hulkbuster. But them being bobble heads is a complete non starter for me.
I've pre-ordered Cap and Ultron but only plan on keeping them if there's a Black Widow announced...
Yeh to me the only one which looks remotely interesting is Cap, buy I've already PO'D the Pop Vinyl figure for my small but growing mix (so far Raphael from TMNT and Stantz from Ghostbusters)... will see what they are like and availability later on.The Cap would definitely fit in my collection - mulling it over.
Hmmmm. if these are bobbleheads, they are effectively competing directly with Funko.. who do some good figures (and some not so good ones.. yes Sauron, I'm looking at you) like the Stormtrooper (with arm articulation) in the round retail packaging (there are two versions, the other is in a rectangular box ) for about half Hot Toy's $40 price.. and imho, the Hulkbuster is definitely going to be a shelfwarmer, at that much higher price.
It's always a bit of a gamble, over whether the bobble sits too high on the neck or not (and you can't check this until you remove the figure from the packaging).. so I'm out (well, might get one Ultron Sentry).

I agree with Plastic Bateman. Imho, HT have fallen between two stools with these figures.. too expensive for the Funko market.. and not upmarket enough to justify the price, for Urban Vinyl / Medicom SD type collectors.
Edit - Having now seen Budget Stark's video of the prototypes, the price for the Hulkbuster, is actually a two pack with a Mk.43.. which makes the cost slightly more understandable.. so I withdraw my earlier comment on price, although I still think $80 for the Hulkbuster and $40 for the Mk.43 giving a pack price of $120 would have been more palatable.
It remains to be seen whether HT can change the Bobblehead market, with a new premium product.. because at these prices imho, they will need to raise the quality bar considerably, over existing competitors.
I agree, I'm finding it hard to actually order these at the moment because bobble heads are just cheap & cheerful from my experience & I'd hate to spend a lot on Hot Toys ones only to discover they are in the same cheapness category as Funko's bobble heads.
sounds like a 'wait and see' situation..... I'm waiting as well, until in-hand pics arrive. I have ordered the complete line however, but thats just in case one of them is limited and sells out
I'd like Hulkbuster & the mark 43 set, if they're worth the money..., wait & see might be the answer.
