    Statue Snow Troll Statue

TheJosh, I think we are both making the same point (mostly). I understand all that stuff. Personally, the one and only reason I collect is for the 'art' of it, because I'm a huge geek for some of these characters and am just in awe of the artwork and am excited to own it. Example.. I don't...

    Statue Snow Troll Statue

Just to be clear (again), I DO get that. I'm talking about the people who COMPLAIN about high ES and/or pass up the statue entirely because of it. If a high ES only means they can obtain it more easily (and cheaper) elsewhere, I don't understand the resistance to high ES's. Unless they are...

    Statue Snow Troll Statue

I understood your example. The mindset that I don't understand is when people decide not to buy something at all (or get their panties in a bunch) because they find out the ES is high instead of super limited. The economics of limited edition collectibles is not lost on me, don't worry. :peace

I think a lot of collectors buy these statues as 'investments' rather than simply because they enjoy them. I don't really get it either, but to each his own. :dunno

    Sideshow Billy the Kid PF

The one posted above is mirrored, which is common but not accurate. Cartridge loading gate on Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle is on the right side of the receiver, which is what tipped historians off that it was flipped. Below is the real image-

    Sideshow Billy the Kid PF

Yep that's it! Although that particular image is "mirrored", the real photo has the gun on the right.

    Sideshow Billy the Kid PF

Just saw this posted on Andy Bergholtz's facebook page. Evidently it was cancelled, or is on hold. Would love to see this produced!!!

    March 2nd's Sideshow Sneak Peak

I think it's obvious that it's not a dio or PF, as the wrist is clearly ball jointed. Also, I don't think that's necessarily a sleeve... The articulation cut at the wrist gives the illusion of a sleeve but it could just as easily be a custom sculpted forearm. I think it's clearly a 1/6 figure...

    Rancor vs. Luke Skywalker Diorama

Re: Rancor vs. Luke Skywalker Diorama - Preorder 9/10 I couldn't agree with you more. This should have never been called a "diorama" in the first place, and I can totally understand the resulting exploding heads (kinda). However, how that translates into this being a 'piece of crap' is...

    Rancor vs. Luke Skywalker Diorama

Re: Rancor vs. Luke Skywalker Diorama - Preorder 9/10 How anyone can call this "crap" is beyond my comprehension. This bust is gorgeous! Granted, everyone is suffering from a bit of whiplash due the "diorama" curveball... I was imagining a full figure Rancor myself and am beyond bummed about...

    Enterbay: GODFATHER

Oh... Well, while it might not be widely known, I don't think it's specifically a secret. JC Hong (HT's creative director) used to work with Enterbay when they were still in their infancy. He helped Arnie Kim a great deal in achieving the realism that Enterbay is known for today.

I couldn't agree more. Beyond that, it's counter-productive to the topic at hand. :peace

DCD Watchmen - The Comedian 13" figure

That DCD likeness is pretty abysmal. The rest of the figure is surprisingly competent though!

Hot Toys - MMS 95 - Terminator Salvation - John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics Unbelievable! Best Bale likeness I've ever seen, and one of the most impressive figures I've seen in general. HT is revolutionizing the art of 1/6 scale work.

    The Watchmen Figure Thread.

I don't think there's any doubt that HT is producing Watchmen figures, but those of you holding your breath for 3 figures may be disappointed. Unless something reeeeeeally surprising happens with the box office numbers over the next few weeks, I don't think we'll be seeing more than 2.

Amoktime releasing their own horror figures

I still prefer the likeness on the Paquet 'Pendulum' statue, but it's a fine effort!
