I don't think SS will (or can) make Hobbit statues.. They will probably just throw in 1 or 2 more Lotr maquettes and be done with it.

It's a shame if they are going to really stop making 1:6 LOTR maquettes anymore, especially when almost all of us were waiting for Merry & Pippin and new Lurtz statues..

If the 2nd version of Lurtz is also a PF then I'd say maquette line is really doomed

Can't belive there was no announcement for either Lotr or Hobbit licenses during 12 days.. We could have at least seen a sketch of an upcoming product like Enthus said. I don't want to wait till comic-con to see if there's anything in store for us Lotr fans, it's sad..

So does it mean that if Weta has a 1/6 line SS can't have one too? Or both companies can make 1/6 statues of the same license?

I don't know if I should be happy or sad about this news because I was just about to start collecting Weta Hobbit statue line :( Now if SS makes a maquette line similar to Lotr I'd prefer them.. Does anyone have any idea as to when SS will make a proper announcement for the line?

Exactly.. That and the big head is why I chose to buy old Weta version. It will also match SS maquette line scalewise, which I think we won't be seeing in that line from SS for many many years.

Yeah it's not bad at all, just not there to make you say wow like Gandalf does. I know there will be more Bilbo's that's why can't decide if I should get this or not :dunno

I could.. if Weta wasn't bombarding all the Hobbit pieces, which I think will continue for at least 3 years. Since I missed all the Lotr stuff I don't want to miss any of those new and shiny Hobbit goodies :gollum:

Same here, all I had was toybiz figures.. I really wish I could have all the old Weta Lotr pieces in a cabinet, looking at them everyday :monkey2

This is why I wanted to have this diorama for years but it's impossible to find it for a decent price being only 300 of them :monkey2 And about resculpting the statue.. I wouldn't even believe if I saw it done

Ordered my ex yesterday. I was expecting a summer release date but it is April :rock Twilight WK in March, Frodo and Sam in April, I wonder if we'll get anything else before 2013 ends?

Price is ok but there is something wrong with sam's face.. Frodo is perfect though :yess: I will display it a little bit turned around to the left so that Frodo is looking forward and you only see Sam from his left side..
