Have the x-plus Godzilla too, and i am very happy with it. The best 2014 Godzilla statue available on the market.

But i have to say that there are some better factory painted Spinos out there, mine was pretty worse. Here you can compare it, this spino is one of the better painted statues, but still way different to the prototype: Spinosaurus, Dinosaurier Modell von Sideshow

You can see the black points which start at the end of the jaws and then over the neck to the belly, there was nothing than these points. So i painted it with thin brown color, same with the head, the neck and the area under the sail (most of the body), the legs and a little bit on the arms...

Some pics of my spinosaurus, a little bit modified with light brown washings. Not perfect but better than before i think.

I have the repainted spino and it´s true, the paintjob is pretty poor. I had to add a washing to get a more realistic look on my statue, now i like it. It looked like only airbrushed with no other painting technique, completely flat. But have no picture before i have done it, sorry, but could...

That´s not the point. It´s not about german or us products or anything, but Sideshow made so much great models in the past (take a look at my avatar) and the collectors paid the prices for high quality, massive and absolutely awesome painted figures. These times seem to be over, now Sideshow try...

I 100% disagree. The X-Plus is way more accurate to the screen used model, more massive - the SS Godzilla looks like a starved version of the 2014 Godzilla. It´s true, the pose of the X-Plus is a little bit boring compared to Sideshows, but that´s no problem for me. And yes, it´s made of PVC not...

@Collectorcol: If you read the comments about the statue there is always a "but" or anything in it. And that should not be if you are buying a statue this expensive. Ok, the word "crap" was a little bit to hard, maybe, but that´s my opinion about the maquette, it´s not worth half the price and...

Everybody should send the Godzilla maquette back because it´s crap. I have heard no customer who´s happy with it so far. Bad times for sideshow but this would be the only way to show SS that they are on the wrong way with the statues. 800 bucks!!!!! We have got high end statues for half the...

The best model so far is the Ceratosaurus in my opinion, his base is awesome. Hoping now for an excellent Acrocanthosaurus, available in august.
