New Doctor Who Figures? (5 inch scale)

Re: New Doctor Who Figures? My local Argos is having a sale on certain figures at the moment down to £5.99 from £7.99. They include series four Oods, Pyroville Priestess the series 1 Captain Jack and series 3 Master with Toclafane figures. Still haven't picked up any series 4 toys beyond the...

    David Tennant Leaving Doctor Who

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Is DT doing series 5 then or leaving at the end of the 2009 specials? I haven't been able to get on the Internet as much and I worked late last night so the first time I heard this news was this morning at my Doctor's surgery of all places :lol Anyway, I think...

    Doctor Who - Spoilers!

Blink is also one of my favourite episodes for quotes, one of which I used in my sig. I wonder if we'll see the Weeping Angels again with Moffatt taking over as showrunner for series five. Not sure how they'd be used but it would be good to have them back.

    Best modern movies !!

Coming away from the big blockbusters for a moment, Gone Baby Gone is a fantastic thriller with a brilliant ending if you guys haven't seen it.

New Doctor Who Figures? (5 inch scale)

Re: New Doctor Who Figures? Noticed these figures online the other day but for some reason work has put up a fire wall that stops me getting on these boards or Mediworld to post anything about them. I'll probably end up getting all four as they're pretty decent and there are no pointless...

    Mattel: DC Universe Classics

Haven't ever seen DCUC in the UK. The only figures I've managed to get my hands on are Batman and Penguin from series one and that was by importing them through BBTS. Glad to see BBTS are offering single carded figures again and not just cases, as I just want to pick and choose a few figures...

Sarah Jane Adventures Discussion - Possible Spoilers within

Has it aired in the US Pix? I'm sure I read on Outpost Gallifrey you guys were getting the first season DVD's before us.

Sarah Jane Adventures Discussion - Possible Spoilers within

The first episode did well in the ratings at least. 0.7 million watched it and the average for that timeslot is 0.4 million. So twice the average numbers. If SJA can sustain that figure or something like it over the course of a season, we might get a season three after all.

New Doctor Who Figures? (5 inch scale)

Re: New Doctor Who Figures? In defence of CO I think they might've tried to incorporate the collectors with figures like Gelth Zombie and Doctor Constantine. They were both unexpected figures to be made and hardly appealing to kids, so I thought they might be targeted at the collector's market...

Sarah Jane Adventures Discussion - Possible Spoilers within

Season two of SJA started last night, watched the first two parter The Last Sontaran. Pretty good, although it did make me chuckle that they took a while to reveal the alien was a Sontaran (even though it was mentioned in the title so it was hardly a revelation). Still a lot of fun though and...

    Hot Toys Scarecrow?

I think if HT did him we'd probably get all that, if it was another company I wouldn't be as confident about it.

    Doctor Who - Spoilers!

If you decide to give one a go let me know which before you do, because I've read most of them so can probably give you an idea which ones you'll enjoy and which to avoid. Off the top of my head Human Nature and Deviant Strain (both Ninth Doc are good) and Feast Of The Drowned, Sting Of The...

    Doctor Who - Spoilers!

Decent enough idea. There are some novels coming out next year one of which features the Judoon I'm looking forward to picking them up. I've read several of the novels since the new series started and really enjoyed most of them, but it's nice to finally see more stories that include monsters...

    Doctor Who - Spoilers!

I think the Judoon and the Slitheen will almost certainly be reused again and again, if not in Who itself in Sarah Jane and other spin offs. The Judoon are a great vehicle for stories because they're kind of like alien cops/bounty hunters and that gives them a lot of potential to turn up in all...

    Doctor Who - Spoilers!

I really hope the Daleks aren't going to turn up in the opening two parter of series 5. I like the Daleks (correction, I liked how they were used in the first and second series of the show) but they became a bit of a joke in series three and especially the end of series four with them being so...

New Doctor Who Figures? (5 inch scale)

Re: New Doctor Who Figures? I wouldn't mind the Lazarus monster. I did wonder what happened to it because when series three was on the air, the deluxe figures, like Face Of Boe and the Reaper were coming out in the UK and I figured the Lazarus monster would be amongst those, though it never...

New Doctor Who Figures? (5 inch scale)

Re: New Doctor Who Figures? Looking on the bright side though, if Character Options aren't interested in a 1/6 line the license may end up getting passed to someone else like Hasbro did for Star Wars to Sideshow. We need to start a poll right now, get Sideshow making 1/6 Doctor Who...
