Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!
I just checked on Internet Explorer and there are no blue buttons shown either. I suppose I can just pre-order through BBTS and hope for the best. But thanks!
Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!
I just opened up Firefox (Safari didn't show it) and the only blue button(s) I see are linking to the alternate figure [Read More], or logging into an account [Login]. Do I need to make an account first?:confused:
Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!
I just read my priority pre-order notice e-mail, but Where the heck is the 'Add to Cart' button on Big Chief's site? I'm just not seeing it!
Is it sold out already?!
Aside from whether the 3-D effect was done well or not, it's also the high up-front cost charged to the consumer in both theater and home viewing. I liked Kung Fu Panda2 in 3D, but the ticket wound up being $16.00! Is it a wonder that the 3D ticket sales are low?
Great pics! So was this event successful in "re-introducing 1/6 figures to the world'" or was it just preaching to the choir? :lol
I mean, was there a heavy attendee crowd?
Egads, all this talk of theoretical HT Spinners and Batmobiles have me in a tizzy.:panic:
I just bought the Japanese collector edition of Blade Runner with the 1/24(?) Spinner (my wallet is still smarting from that one); and I still have from years ago the 1/10 scale radio control Batmobile...
Wow. I guess people are really adamant about this. I just didn't see how scoring points to advance through levels should be limited to a hand controller.
It would've been really cool to perform a curb stomp by actually moving my feet...
Thanks for the link. Haddock looked especially impressive. Now I'm even more stoked for this!
But a whole 'nother year, it's like waiting for Tron Legacy again...
OP: If it helps spark an idea (assuming I'm not too late to the party), I painted up my figure a long while ago:
The acrylic "blood" was painted directly to the plastic, with acrylic gloss medium to seal those spots, and also to simulate a sheen of sweat on the forehead. Watery acrylic was...
Hmmm, off the top of my head:
Lenina Huxley (Sandra Bullock) from Demolition Man;
Leloo (Milla Jovovich) from The Fifth Element;
Sam Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones) from The Fugitive, with alternate "wet hair" sculpt to imitate the "I don't care!" scene;
All of the female replicants from Blade Runner...
The T-800 from T2 is enough for me unless HT wows me with a mega-damaged T-800 like the custom job above.
But I would certainly pick up variations of the TX! :)
