I'll just tack on a big from what Cummins said. The movies being promoted will be ones coming out in the coming year. If I had to wager a guess on a few I'd bet we'd get panels on...

-The Watchmen (there was a panel last year but I would imagine another one could happen since it's due out in 2009)
-WB panel (they will hype several movies and one will of course be the next Harry Potter film).
-The Spirit film
-Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (I would imagine this will be on Friday and apart of the big Star Wars panel that happens every year. Expect it to be 90% of Star Wars and other product advertisement and 10% of content people are really interested in).

And that's my guesses for this year. Of course there will be lot's more but there's always a few interesting and not to interesting surprises thrown in every year.

My guess (HOPE) is that there will be something regarding the "Hobbit". Del Toro manages to make it to the Con quite often (in fact, didn't he reveal Pan's Labyrinth stuff first at the Con?), and I'm hoping he'll be there again with some sort of reveal....maybe some confirmed casting?

Now that would be worth attending on Saturday... Here's hoping.

i forgot, a bunch of horrible stuff, like the new Joe movie, (WB panel) the jla movie. Street Fighter Chun-Li movie. ack

Now that would be worth attending on Saturday... Here's hoping.

The Hobbit...hmm :mind changes slightly:

A Panel for the Joe movie might be good to express fan disapointment and/or reassurance they even though the characters look like crap, the film might be watchable. :dunno

I've heard that Del Toro won't be attending Comic-Con this year since he'll be in New Zealand. It would be nice if we did get something about The Hobbit. Theonering.net will be having a panel so some Hobbit representing will happen through that panel!

Oh man!! That would be awesome, if we can see at least a video from GDT, but, last time I checked he said there won't be a whole lot of info until the end of the year, once the script is finished.

I just hope something crazy doesn't show up on Friday so I don't miss the freak party again. Last year it was 300 shown at the big screen at petco park.

The freaks party is one of the big reasons why I'm even going....I mean yeah, SDCC will be great...but I'm more looking forward to seeing the freaks. :) There would have to be something pretty dang incredible going on for me to miss going to the freak party....something like Christian Bale in the nude....:lol

If there's any Hobbit announcements, it could certainly be done by John Howe, being that he's there. As for other movie news, they can announce the upcoming Marvel movies, plus Harry Potter, plus another Narnia film, plus another Pixar film. I heard a rumor they're coming out with Sin City II. Which big ticket actresses haven't we seen yet? I wouldn't be surprised if we're graced by that actress from Transformers since she has a horror movie coming out. Saturday is definitely a Hall H day.
