Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

and they ****ing murdered the dude. that's not them committing a crime? good god man keep reaching for straws! :lol

pturtle and crows have decided that the movie is garbage and every post of theirs is going to reflect that. If they say "why didn't the Joker commit a crime!1?" and you say "uh murder is a crime," then murder suddenly won't be the "right" crime and so on. The dialogue will just be a perpetual exercise of splitting hairs as an excuse to criticize the film. Once you realize that you might be able to decide if the back and forth is worth the trouble. ;)

They hated the movie, and they get to, and honestly I'd probably have to re-evaluate the film if they *didn't* hate it. :D

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

committing a crime... like you know... a robbery...... :dunno

why not shoot a cop or something like that then? or a judge or something? shooting a guy you work with because he looked at your girl? thats what a drug mob boss does, not what I picture the joker doing.

I could even see the joker killing a Rival criminal like they did in Dark knight, but that scene is a mess. I know why they have the scene in the movie but the Joker's actions make no sense (As Crazy as the joker is)
and it is a very poor way to stablish their insanity.

there could have been so many cool ways to establish both their insanity and his twisted love for Harley, They could have even made Batman's appearance longer if they cut the common scene

They could have made Common be a lawyer or a security guard or someone else that gets killed while robbing a place and then Batman shows up and cannot stop the murder, then the chase begins.

could have been cool and more cohesive

what we have now is a Scarface guy with green hair and ugly tattoos killing one of his own for disrespecting his lady... yeah, thats the JOKER alright :slap

First off, the Joker wasn't working with common, the scene does a fairly point blank explanation that this is their first time meeting. "he doesn't shake hands" "this guy is SO INTENSE."

Seriously, see the movie again. You obviously weren't paying attention. :slap Joker killed a rival criminal, common. :slap :lol
Joker has always been a gangster, what is a gangster in 2016?

I love this take, throw in a little 1930's Dillinger, some Scarface, and some extra mental instability and that makes for a great, fresh, modern take on the Joker.

Everything you mentioned above you will get. THIS ISN'T A BATMAN/JOKER movie. They didn't even share lines. They obviously are saving that scene for something else. If you wanted all of that this would be a bloated 3 hour movie like BvS and you'd be complaining again. That's the exact opposite of what Ayer wanted.

im saying the joker scene was clumsy. the crime they committed was not a crime Batman or the cops would investigate. i dont think either care about a gang member getting shot. yes Murder is a crime :duh but criminals killing each other is not a crime that would mean much to anyone.
For them to use that C R I M E to showcase how dangerous the Joker can be is a little clumsy.

what I was saying is that I wish they handle that scene a little better and that they were BOTH committing a more fitting crime for the Joker and Harley.

See? Hair-splitting. I rest my case. :)

So, Crows, are you swung that it came off like something out of Natural Born Killers?

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I dont know, I dont remember much of Natural Born Killers.

there are parts of this movie that made me very very mad. there are parts that made me cringe really hard.
Some parts were just incredibly awful.

Yup, I'm used to it. the fact that he can't come up with a better reason then "murder isn't a cool enough crime for joker, so that scene sucks" makes the winner of this debate pretty clear.

But I can take it.

Joker "offering" Harley wasn't fitting enough for you?

"oh you like my *****, well why don't you **** her while I watch" PSYCHE head-shot!

That's pure Joker. I'm sorry Heat Ledgur wasn't in this movie, and I'm sorry for the predicament that this movie is putting pturtle and you in. ya'll threw on your hater hats before this film is deemed a "cult classic." which would piss me off too if I was wearing black rimmed glasses and a scarf in mid August. :monkey3

So it was an emotional roller coaster of cringe worthy anger?

at least im not personally attacking you for loving it :lol

same exact crap happened in the batman v superman lol, people would attack the movie and the defending team would start throwing punches and making it personal lol

if you guys loved this movie soooo much you feel the need to make it about a personal fight then thats sad.
im not sure why fans can just discuss the movie without making it personal .

Im not your enemy, is just a movie bros, no need to get catty with me. we are all buddies in here :grouphug :ted

Man, this board has forced you into calming down. :lol Remember the TDKR thread? **** got heated in there. :lol

I didn't mean to upset you man, just poking some fun. hence the " :monkey3 " edit I did, that last sentence came off harsh. :lol

but if you want to actually debate why you think this movie is bad, stop reaching for straws and give me a solid opinion on the film. "but this would have been better this way" isn't a sound argument since we got what we got.

is not that the board forced me to calm down because i was pretty pretty hard on BvS lol.
this board is a little more fun and light hearted and goofy and i have a good time joking around so i dont want to have the kind of environment that was BvS :lol
that board got toxic.
But there are things about this movie that were really bad, I saw the movie a couple of days now and until now I have not really said anything about it. I knew it was going to be trouble.

but if you want to actually debate why you think this movie is bad, stop reaching for straws and give me a solid opinion on the film. "but this would have been better this way" isn't a sound argument since we got what we got.

Cant help it, thats how i see movies. you and Khev are attacking me for the way I actually analyse and digest movies. you guys are attacking the way i process the movie after watching it and being able to think about it.

I understand both you and Khev HATE this way of analyzing the movie but i can only be me, thats just how my mind works :dunno
