Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Some people were complaining about excessive shots of Harley's butt too, but there's more butt shots in the trailers than there is in the movie. :dunno

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I'm really looking forward to editing a "ultimate cut" of SS when the bluray drops and hopefully has all the deleted scenes

Gonna go see the movie for the 3rd time tomorrow.

One can only hope for the Ayer cut- but hey I may like the theatrical cut anyway- seeing it this weekend

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I'm just glad all these negative reactions match/line up with what I said.

Was getting a little worried when all those positive tweets were pouring in last week. I was really afraid some of you guys I talked with would think I was full of it or had **** taste. Turns out it was right on the money!

Now just waiting on this to happen,

"The Ultimate Suicide Squad cut will fix everything" logic. :lol

I knew you were telling the truth since the BvS leaks, I was just hoping I would disagree with you on the liking it part like with BvS, but even the people who liked BvS don't seem to like this one (Except for BBJerry).

And I'm actually interested to see if there will be an "ultimate" cut, it seems Ayer had a completely different movie in mind, and why didn't he fight for it, he says he put his heart on it, and the studio seemingly turned it into a focus group roadkill, it's just weird.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I think DC is onto some lame business plan right now that they release a horribly put movie only to be outdone by the Ultimate Cut...

What if their business plan was to bring back the sales of blu ray and dvd?

The home sales market is dying. Movies just dont sell as much.

What if wb is singlehandedly trying to revive the blu ray market!

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Is the enchantress line " lets have some fun" in the movie or not?

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

The only version of BvS I've seen is the ultimate edition and it was so bad I had to take a break from the movie a few times to keep from screaming at my TV so I can only imagine how bad the theatrical release was if the UE is supposedly so much better.

I'm sure Snyder's got his "the studio forced my hand" speech ready for when JL inevitably flops with critics as well.

My main question is why are they even allowing him to direct more DC movies?

It actually did, home media sells, especially if they roll out the elusive steel books

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Another polarizing DC film..ahh this feels like home:lol

By that you mean....bad or REALLY BAD??

Maybe all the missing scenes were random clips they made that they felt looked cool for a trailer.....then they changed their minds cause they really didn't fit in the movie well......

It almost seems like they filmed a bunch of clips and threw music at them.....said "Yeah that's cool, Now how do we fit it in the story?"

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

WB needs this to be as big a financial success story at the box office as any other tent pole summer movie.

WB/DC executives will be in very BIG trouble if this doesn't hit at least 800 million!

For them this is no joke.

WB is probably sick and tired of wasting their efforts on superhero movies.

They're their own worst enemy though.

800 million? Not a chance in hell

Jye meant $800 million worldwide- still think it would out gross BvS but at this point I'm not so sure...

DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

So ok, Suicide Squad was an "entertaining" watch to say the least, but **** was it a hot mess, both plot, pacing, and story wise. Lol. For me, it makes the theatrical release of BvS look perfect. Haha. Although many will perceive it as the opposite. Margot Robbie was great has Harley and Leto was good, but apparently they cut half his character out of it. You can tell a ton a **** was cut out because scenes just start looking out of place and rushed. Relationships didn't makes sense either. Let's just say the first 10 mins and all the Joker/Harley scenes were my favorite. [emoji106][emoji107][emoji327][emoji327][emoji23]

Hopefully the director's cut fixes most of the problems (if there even is one), but it's a shame we've come to that with DC movies.

P.S. I ******* loved BvS.

Propably had a contract for a number of films? I think he and his wife said that JL is their last DC film.

Really?

Why would WB do that?

I'm not saying it's not true but it's not exactly like Snyder is in big demand from other studios.
