Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I think some things are bizarre right now with the Suicide Squad movie, but I just hope the writing and acting is good. Maybe, I won't like it at first, but if the writing is great, I'll come around to it. I'd rather have a film that I don't like at first and grow to love than the opposite.

We don't know about it, and we probably won't know about it.

Are you kidding? The female characters were are getting sexualized, and the biggest nutcase villain in the movie is the one with the weird sexual stuff? They're gonna boycott this movie.

Remember this? :lol

Did they really remove that cover? I never read Batgirl comics to understand the controversy, but I think the art is very good.

I miss the 80's. We were so spoiled with our non politically correct entertainment.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

yes.... they also apologized.... sjw win yet again

I'm sure there was nothing self-righteous about it because they were all reading and supporting the comic, right? Oh, well! What are you going to do? :lol

the vast majority of people who were very vocal against this cover are people who don't even read comics or have any previous knowledge of the history between Joker and Batgirl. (a lot of angry women didnt even know what the cover was making homage to) same big mob that gets offended by everything, and want to ban everything they dont like
(ironically a group that didnt really care about fans like this):

and then they were asking for the banning of the Killing joke as well. they wanted stores to never sell it again.... yay :hi5:

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

To the diehard fans what are the best DC animated movies, I lost track of them after the solo WW movie.

Or was it the Superman/Supergirl vs Darkseid animated movie that I stopped following them, I don't remember anymore.

What are considered the top 3 post Mask of the Phantasm?

Does "Mask of the Phantasm" count as a DC animated film?

Anyway, some of my favorites are Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, which doesn't count as a dc animated film. Also, Barman: Under the Redhood, Justice League the Flashpoint Paradox, and The Dark Knight Returns part 1 and 2. :D Green Lantern First Flight and All Star Superman were pretty good too, imo. I kind of liked Justice League: War, which is the origin of the Justice League based on the new 52 canon.

Anything before the New52 adaptations, I like the new 52 but the movies are pretty bad, still ok for background noise I guess.

With the only exceptions being Assault on Arkham and Gods and Monsters, those are excellent imo, and aren't based on the new52.

I don't have a real favorite, they're all good, people love TDKR(technically 2 movies), Red Hood, and Flashpoint, those would be in the top 3 of most people, I guess. TDKR is really good, watch that if you haven't.

My top 3 would be:
JL DOOM
WW
Superman vs the Elite.

In no particular order.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. Good Superman film.

I hated the Joker from Assault on Arkham though. :(

I didn't hate him, I just hated that he said "bitches", and his voice wasn't good either, but it was ok written, everything else was great though.

I didn't quite like All-Star :lol I think they did a disservice to the book.

The "bitches" line was almost as bad as Magneto using the "F" word in the comic con trailer. The Joker was an idiot in that film. :monkey4
