wow...that really sucks ...wolverines are falling...u would think a $2000 statue would be made better

I haven't even set mine up yet, but boy am I scared! Especially living in earthquake country! Is it worth it to send an email to SSC asking about this (potential) problem?

I noticed that my Wolverine's foot doesn't sit flush into the base in the back. I'm rather annoyed that I now have to worry about this falling and shattering.

I'd investigate it further Emperor rather than just leave it buddy. I seriously think that all these stories we're hearing about leaning Wolvie LSF's are due to the foot pegs not fitting flush into the base and therefore putting stress on various areas of the figure which is causing it to slowly lean. Its so important that the peg slots in flush so that no gap between foot and base can be seen.

is there any way to repair the peg that don't sit right?

Before you try to repair anything, contact your supplier and notify them of the issue, chances are they maybe able to give you some sound advice. Once you start tampering with the peg or trying to make the hole in the base bigger in order to allow the peg to fit in more easier, then you could make things worse in the long run or if you did have the chance to return it, they wouldn't accept it if its been tampered with.

Definate rule of thumb guys is that if you have a Wolvie LSF with a foot peg that doesn't fit in blush to the base, you have to get in touch with your supplier or Sideshow and explain to them that having the statue in this state will indeed result in the whole thing toppling over.

I can second spidey's report. That guy wasn't ignoring that Wolvie, it was in a second home. I think he had a camera set up to capture it. He contacted SS when he first came back and noticed the lean. I dont think they had gotten back to him by the time it had crashed. I believe a few other damaged pictures showing the flawed peg were posted around then too (Hollow, bubbled), but that doesn't mean they all are bad. Just that some had bad casting. Just like some of the DROM that develop cracks/lean/fall over time. Only problem is, by the time you know you have a problem, your likely well past the 30 days.

the "warranty" on LSFs should scale up along with the price- say 5 x's the usual 30 days, or 150 days for magnet failure or other manufacturer defect. They could keep returns at 30 days, but if you are going to market a premium product for a premium price, you need to back it up with faith in the integrity of your product.

This I agree 100%... For international collectors too please. We are paying premium price. In hope for quality for our hard earn money :)

Yeh! That guy was a complete idiot for displaying his $2,000 statue :cuckoo:

If you bother to read his story he noticed a slight lean so contacted SS.
He was forced to leave his property for two weeks, I think it was, and returned to find it broken.

Should he of took it down? Probably.
Should he of expected it to actually topple? No.

Point is the foot peg snapped, due to a hollow finish because of air bubbles in the mold, which could of happened at any point.
So... Was it his fault? No it bloody wasn't!

If I spend $2000 on a statue, I don't expect it to topple over. Like....EVER. So, I agree with you 100%.

sorry, but that guy is an idiot. you see it leaning that much and just leave it be?

My thoughts exactly. Why in the world would you leave it?

It is called a forced evacuation do to civil disturbance. He basically was allowed in one day, but had to GTFO, and then he wasn't allowed back in for 2 weeks.

Like I said aboveboard I remember correctly he got to run in and run out the first time. Then it broke while he couldn't get back, but yeah it was flaw that never should have existed.
