Yes I do know that side show often charges a deposit for pre-orders. Which, means absolutely nothing to hot toys. Sideshow does not take that deposited and turn and give it to hot toys. So a preorder, as I stated before, does not effect hot toys bottom line and this does not effect the product or quality control. And your point about Asian country's and the fact that they preorder before seeing the final product, again means nothing.

:lol

So why would they even do a pre order then...?

why would they not just post it up for sale, finished, boxed, and ready to go....:cuckoo:

A preorder determines how many a company (sideshow) is going to order form a supplier (Hot toys) based on demand... If a figure sucks and there is no demand it doesnt effect a company (sideshow) it affects the supplier (Hot toys).

I know this is a lot for a kid to take in, but thats simply just how it works...

^^ :exactly:

Otherwise they would be left with thousands of unwanted Loki's from The Dark World...:rotfl

Hot Toys collects 100% upfront The risk is with the resellers like SS if they choose not to collect deposits from customers. HT simply cannot lose money

That's an official Hot Toys display...what are those Peter figures? Are they gonna be bringing them out? Because that'd be really cool. At this point, I really want the new figure, but if there's a chance of them bringing out a Peter, I'd rather just get him to go with my first Amazing figure. I can't afford three Hot Toys that are so close together (I'm also getting a Cap from Winter Soldier).

Is there a better pic of that card in the display. That would tell us all we need to know. It could be a bashed Pete being used a stand in for the actual one. The Cap display at this even has a bashed Steve Rogers, standing in for TWS version.

Wish they could put the 1st and 2nd fig side by side
In the pics above, the new fig's suit looks much more reflective than the last version and I can't tell if that's from the light

You don't think those 2 Peters are just custom works for the display?
Wouldn't they have at least teased them some where by now before this?
Also why not pics of the Peter in the back without the skateboard?
I swear the people who take these pics and post them do this just to get a rise out of people!

Yep Spidey is looking great from the latest pictures that have been posted.

I just hope that HT fix the fabric of the suit but it is no deal breaker for me if they don't.

Sometimes hot toys do just show a figure at a convention with no prior teaser.

And sometimes they make customs that aren't put up for sale and display them in dioramas with figures that will be released. They displayed a Clark Kent with the Evil Superman figure in a diorama last year and nothing has been mentioned about it anywhere since. There was no card for the Clark figure like there was for Evil Superman so who knows if they ever plan to release it.

Well if they do put the Peter Parker figure up, I can see why they didn't include the head sculpt with Spidey. Double up the purchases.

A kid. Yep. A disabled us marine (medically retired after ten years) who got his MBA, worked as an accountant and then case worker then executive for a state subcontractor, whose job it was to help bring jobs and businesses to one of the ten largest metro areas in the USA, until I was forced to retire permantly due to the injuries I sustained while active duty in the marine corps. But yep, keep making those assumptions and name calling. I stated my opinion based on having run a business and my education, and especially in my second comment, said nothing directed at you personally despite you having taking a shot at me. Now again you make it personal to divert the topic from your lack of understanding.

Hot toys sets the product run size long before the figures are announced. The size of the product run directly effects the profit the manufacture makes. Especially on a new tooled figure. The allotment a place like sideshow gets us adjustable, and they can adjust it up to a certain point before shipping. However, the preorders sideshow and big bad toys and so forth get does not effect the quality of a figure. And sideshow also is the major supplier for a lot of secondary retailers so the preorder lets them choose how much to offer to the public as presale, to the retail places, and how many they hold for day of. Again my point has been, in contradiction to yours, that the amount of preorders does not effect the quality control or design of the figures, as you implied. So do you want to discuss the actual issue or continue being a keyboard warrior running your mouth to someone you have no clue about?

I still wonder why we are not getting a new Andrew sculpt with this version. Something weird must have happened, but I can't think of a good reason why.
