Looks awesome. I really like all the subtle details they added from the film like the bed Ripley and Newt hide under, the APC, that kid's tricycle, etc.

That dubstep trailer made me want to ****ing puke.

Don't put my Aliens with that ****.

But yes, cautiously excited for the game/.

Just realized that there's no Collector's Edition for PC. Guess I'm not ordering it. Absolute bull****.

This game is a really "make or break" for ALIENS franchise video games. There hasn't been a good ALIENS-related game in my opinion since AVP2 on the PC.

SEGA has NOT handled this property well. I really expected REBELLION to do much better with ALIENS vs. Predator (3) than they actually did. And the DS game (Infestation? Whatever it was called) was solid but not anything noteworthy. I'm sure that is why they've been extremely patient with Colonial Marines. They want this to really "wow" everyone. Name value alone can't carry it.

CE or no, I'm getting the PC version. CEs are almost always a disappointment anyway IMO.

SEGA pulled the same crap with the AvP Hunter Edition.
I really want this Collector's edition. I love the small things like the CM badges, certificate of graduation from the corps, Sephora ship blueprints, etc. Plus there's the statue.

The Collector's Edition is only available for PC in the UK I guess. If I were to order a UK CE for PC, would it even work on my comp?

After seeing the gameplay, the first person looks very "Borderland-esque". Not in art style but just the sort of "flow" reminded me of Borderlands. Even the menus for the game have a Borderlands-flavor and similar lay-out.

That's a GOOD thing, Borderlands is easily one of the best FPS series ever released, using a similar style and engine for the gameplay would be extremely wise for this game. I also like that the marine pulls up the actually motion tracker to look at it, I hope that makes for many scary moments when you see all the blips circling you.

The scariest FPS game in my opinion was DOOM 3. And one aspect that heightened your attention and anxiety was the game was SUPER dark and you could equip ONLY the flashlight and no weapon alongside it. It but you in a VERY vulnerable situation if you weren't quick but made for a better immersion into the fear of what was lurking in the game.

I hope ALIENS:CM has moments like that.

I hope this game turns out great. Doesn't get much better than the film this is influenced by. But I've read such lukewarm reviews of the other Aliens games over the last few years that I'm cautious. Tempted to just PO the exclusive to get all the goodies.

Me too. Is this the Aliens game we've all wanted?

God I hope so. This franchise, in general, needs something that is ACTUALLY good. Not just...OK. Sick of OK.
