What happens when the water dries?

:lol......

Man, the loose strands are painful to deal with... cannot get back unless you redo the tail... which will probably end up with even more loose strands. Good thing there is a lot of hair... a few strands being plucked is fine.

I had a few stray hairs.
I used very small scissors and cut them loose.
It looks great now.
Still not sure how the warm water works?
Do you hold the hair under running water or in a glass?

Kinda late to the game on this thread, can anyone explain the ins and outs of the side parted hair vs middle? I spoke with an online retailer who said all of his batch were middle and that side was just pre pro photos only. Obviously that's not 100% true. Is it just luck of the draw or is there a way of knowing which you will get?

Side part looks better IMO and I'd hate to buy online and they deem the part not a good enough reason for An exchange.

I e-mailed several online retailers about seeing if they had any Babydolls with the side-parted hair &, understandably, none were willing to slice those Hot Toys shipping cartons open to find out & possibly end up stuck trying to sell "new" figures that weren't factory-sealed.

None, that is, except Eric at Toy Square, who found a side-parted one for me amongst their stock with the first one he opened. While it cost a little more to have it shipped from Canada, it was well worth it to be sure which variation of the figure I was getting.

Oh. I just dab my fingers in water and style them with that. It takes a little bit of time. I'm still making adjustments.

I can see how damping the whole tail in water will make it easy to do what studios did.

Congrats and enjoy. It is a great figure and the side-part is the way to go:rock

Finally bought a Babydoll. Best part is that the seller took a pic and confirmed for me she was a side banger :rock :lol

Went to my local comic shop and they had a Babydoll in stock. It sadly is not a side part hair, but since it is sold out on Sideshow, I decided to get it anyways. I still really like it.

I tried the water method to fix the pony tails up, it didn't come out like small_studios did, but I am still happy. Can anyone give any tips beyond use water and twist the pony tails when wet?

I stole a pose from a few pages back. I also just bought an Ikea Detolf with Dioder LED lights, so I finally set my Hot Toys up.

Congrats on your find!
Not too many comic book stores in my area carry any quality figures any more.
I guess it's a sign of the economy, there were a few that did but now I order from SSC or Razor's Edge and BBTS!

I'm having major problems with her hair. On trying to get the headband on some strands of hair have come loose from the elastic bands holding it in bunches. I have contemplated undoing the elastic bands and re-doing them but I have a feeling I will never get them as tight as they came. I also thought about cutting the loose strands with scissors but I don't really think that's the solution for something which cost so much money!

I did that about 10 min after opening her up :slap. I took off her right pigtail to fix her hair and let me say it was a pain in the ass to get that little rubber band back on tight again. And believe me it doesnt help having big fingers. Another thing is I think I had to get an extra twist of the rubber band in there cuz after a few tries it ended up stretching on me. I gotta say it took me about 15 min till I was finally ok with the tightness of the rubber band around her pigtail. I honestly thought I screwed up by doing that and I was already looking on ebay for replacement rubber bands, but I was able to get it back on :yess:. It can be done if you wanna fix her hair but it is a pain be warned lol....

A few shots of my Babydoll at last. I didn't do anything with the hair yet, except snip a few wild strays.

Kind of like the more voluminous, thicker hair look.

Nice hair mod; love seeing all you guys playing with your dollies.....ok, be honest now: how many of you painted nipples on your Babydoll?

No sculpted nipples to do it on. :monkey1
