Dude...I just filled the cup.

Nice touch. Eventual Sinestro Corps emblem spotted in Parallax:

Almost looks like Qward as well. Between the SC symbol in Parallax and the SS symbol on Carol's helmet, they are setting their universe groundwork very nicely.

Spoiler Spoiler:

It looks like some of those spoilers are coming to pass. I cannot wait for this film.

New trailer is pretty damn impressive thats for sure. Really looking forward to the summer movie season that starts Friday with Thor.

That was simply the best trailer I have seen since the first Matrix film! Had to rewatch it several times! DC Comics films are so Epic! The might or Warner Bros! (financial backing)

There was quite the spoiler in this trailer right smack dab in the middle when Hal is reaching for his ring...I wonder if anyone caught that.

The "Green Lantern's light" "growl" is still jarring, especially since he was saying it so calmly prior to that line.

I watched a couple times and I don't so it, and it's driving me mad! :panic: Bust out the spoiler tags and tell me! :panic:

I've watched that trailer several times now and I don't see the spoiler. I'm going to leave it at that because I just don't wanna know.

Spoiler Spoiler:

There you go

Still getting a bad vibe. I can tell the suit is CGI in alot of scenes, the human bad guy is just like the crazy brain guy from Hulk and there isn't really anything cool about his look, the other bad guy looks to essentially be the thing from Fantastic Four Silver Surfer. And I'm sorry but I still just see Van Wilder running around in the midst of it. I want to like it because its comic book related and there definately taking it seriously, but I think it maybe best for me to go into this with low expectations.

In all honesty you can always tell when CGI is CGI but you have to admit from the first trailer to this one it looks loads better and they've still got time in post to improve.

Hector Hammond appeared in Green Lantern #5 April, 1961. The Leader to whom you are comparing him to appeared in Tales to Astonish #62 December, 1964. Visually there isn't much difference, blame the trend of the 60s to give psychics or anything brain related big heads:

The Leader

Hector Hammond:

Except for the fact that the radiation causes his brain to grow to enormous size, granting him psychic powers, a trait I'm sure will be given to exposure to Parallax here.

It has been leaked that Parallax will not look like the "cloud" of Galactus. In fact the toys as well as the net has shown what Parallax will look like here:

Which is matching the look from the comics:

The cloud that is left behind is the gaining of the fear from the general populous, he collects it and it powers him, although some are spectulating that the trailers are "hamming" it up to hide what Parallax actually looks like. If you watch the trailer you can see that it shows Hammond's face as well as Krona's and even Hal's at one point as it mirrors whomever is showing the most fear.

And I'm sorry but I still just see Van Wilder running around in the midst of it.

That there really isn't an argument for since that is personal connection but I will say this in watching the trailer a few times I actually saw Hal in Reynolds's performance for the first real time and was able to separate the smartass slacker image he has groomed so well.

I think for the most part the CGI actually looks incredible, like the other planets and aliens, but on top of an actual human, I think its always going to look odd to me. Two-Face worked, but this looks a little awkward.

I'm still going to go see it, the biggest thing I'll have to overcome is how I view Reynolds at this point, but in terms of marketing it to the public, I'd leave alot of the elements I mentioned out for the TV spots, or else alot of people who don't read the comics are going to get a similar Silver Surfer vibe. Hopefully Campbell does well directing, I'm only a fan of Goldeneye and Casino Royale, I caught Edge of Darkness recently and thought it was pretty uninspired. One thing I'll give them though is the casting of Sinestro. Great call.
