Thank you. I really wanted to do a great job on this one because I always loved River as young Indy. I was so disappointed in the figure, clothes and all, that I refuse to own it, but the sculpt was worth a repaint.

Awesome repaint bud. Just sucks that the outfit really doesn't do it justice.

Dying an outfit that looks like cheap ____ will only give you cheap ____ in another color. Unfortunately, it's just about one of the saddest excuses for a 1:6 costume I've ever seen. It just looks cheap and halfassed.

Dying the outfit makes a huge difference to this figure. Here is my effort again with that. And you have to paint distress those awful boots! In my opinion, these are quick fixes that medicom certainly failed on, but are easily remedied. I must say, it was kind of fun to fix this figure up as the sculpt is so good.

That looks much better, yeah. Is that head repainted too. Can't tell for sure in that pic, but it seems to look improved.

Thanks SS. I just bettered his scar and hair really and added some dirt to his face as though the lion scene just happened. Nothing close to a real repaint though after seeing yours, I'm tempted.

How hard was it to dye the outfit? Great job btw.

Thanks, DS. Easy as can be. Soak the outfit in soda water or salt water first then dye it. It doesn't take long to set with RIT kelly green. I then ended up bleaching it a little afterwards as it was just a bit too dark.

RAH Young Indy was a real disappointment, and I only picked him up because he was cheap.

I made a start at improving him by getting rid of the nasty plastic boots and replacing them with a pair of Dragon in Dreams lace-ups.

He still looks painfully skinny.
