I met a guy at a project in Italy who worked on Queen Anne's Revenge in North Carolina. I spent a lot of time trying to convince him to stick firecrackers in his beard

Anyways, Indy is beating Blackbeard by a small margin so it's alright

Congrats to you on your Indy!

Been listening to them since Ten, when I was a sophomore in high school. They're my favorite, hands down. I've seen them, well, I really don't know how many times?? 25-30?? I see them every time they come around and if they play multiple shows I see them all. They alwats put on a great performance... Do they not get up to Nova Scotia much? Did you happen to catch any of Ed's solo shows a couple years back?

Anyway, perhaps not the right thread for this chat.

Voted for Indy as best PF on the SS site... Might take some doing to get him over the Berzerker though.

I want to see them play in Seattle one day. They normally wrap up tours there and being in California I'm only a short flight away....

I must say. Every picture I had seen so far of this thing is absolute rubbish (no offense.) They do this piece no justice at all. The sculpt and paint are both just perfect. I'm so happy to have this in my collection, now. This is my first PF, and I think now I've caught the bug.

I must say. Every picture I had seen so far of this thing is absolute rubbish (no offense.) They do this piece no justice at all. The sculpt and paint are both just perfect. I'm so happy to have this in my collection, now. This is my first PF, and I think now I've caught the bug.

Hope you plan on getting the ROTLA Indy PF and the upcoming Mola Ram PF now too. The Indy PF figures are AMAZING IMO!

Oh absolutely. Pre-ordering Mola Ram is a given. I'll have try to track down a Raiders Indy as well, if I can find it at a decent price. Damn this hobby. So awesome, but so expensive.

I always meant to pick up the young Indy but never got around to it so snapped this up while I had the chance.

As said above, pics do not show this piece off well enough.

You can talk about your case is not the same as the others. In my case, the quality of paint on the face and eyes left much to be desired in some areas and not that I want to give value to repaint. While it is true that there are pics that do not do justice to it.

Or should we remember the many sideshow figures that have come with defects in the paint?

Well sadly, mine is quite defected. Half a Hitler mustache and a really sloppy red-colored 'touch-up' on the hat. Not to mention all the little white specs on the hat where the brown color of the hat is missing.

I love my PF's that I have, and this Indy is no exception, but I just can't display him like this!

I've contacted SS to see about getting a replacement. I'm disappointed this got past QC.

As for yours Restaurajones, the eyes on a lot of the SS PF's tend to be 'muddy' like that (just look at their Aragorn!), but there's no excuse for those marks on the side of the face and the nose. Glad you could salvage yours with that stellar repaint. Unfortunately I don't have those kind of skills.

I'm sorry for that Indiana Fett but I think those issues have a good solution with a few retouches. I recommended you the use of acrylics model color Vallejo with a thin brush in the stubble with a couple of white and gray points, technique of pointillism. For the hat is easy. You can use pastel color over the zone if you have escary with the acrylics paints

Wow, sorry that you guys got ones with defects. I guess I was lucky. Still, no need to rain on my parade. I really love this thing. Having this thing stand next to my 1:6 Indy just shows me the huge difference in quality.

Awesome, thanks for the tips Restaurajones! I'm waiting to hear from SS to see if I can get a replacement...Otherwise, I'm going to use your tips for the touch-ups. I'll just do it 'really carefully'. It'd be my first touch-up...who knows, maybe I'll actually be OK at it.
